Homecoming

Tanu was washing his car and his thoughts were not jumbled up for once. He was enjoying the sun on his skin since he'd been holed up for the last few weeks completing Divine training exercises with Marie and the others. He was happy to be out in the real world instead of being in a constant state of astral projection. His muscle memory was symbolically thanking him as they ached just the way he liked it since he had not been to the gym in awhile.

Just when he was going to jump into his truck to hit the gym, he groaned in aggravation because he was being summoned telepathically. Knowing it was Marie, he sighed and faked a smile before he lost his temper because he was looking forward to working out for weeks.

Tanu: It's my day off, Marie. What do you want?

Marie: Wow. Hello to you too, asshole. -chuckling-

Tanu: Where's Adam? I thought he was gonna spend some quality time with you.

Marie: Um...Well, he WAS. But he was summoned. He's actually on duty. Yup! My man is actually being sworn in as part of Divine Team.

Tanu: Uh-whuh? Well, good on him, man! When did the Elders make that decision?

Tanu suddenly felt a tinge of jealousy but in his ever subtle way, forced a chuckle. Marie ended up laughing humorously because she knew Tanu very well. In fact, she knew him so well, she was aware he was building up a slow burn based on the information she just provided to him.

Marie: Just found out this morning after you left me sleeping. See? That's what happens when you don't wake my ass up before you leave.

Tanu: -sigh- I needed to breathe for a bit. Things were too stifling because our challenges have been getting too complicated due to that shit Hosea kept pulling on us.

Marie: Oh, you mean the anomalies? He doesn't mean it, baby. And we're adjusting well, aren't we?

Tanu: Whatever. I keep having fucked up visions of my mom making out with your cousin. That is SO not the business, woman.

Marie: Aw, my poor baby. Do you want mommy to rub your back? -giggling-

Tanu: Baby? Don't call yourself mommy ever again. That's too relevant. And it's shrinking my dick.

Marie: Sorry. I just wanted to say hi. So...hello. And goodbye!

Tanu: Wait a minute, Marie. Why are you really on my line? You don't usually do the telepathic thing with me when I'm off. So...what's up?

Marie: Um. Well, I was gonna ask you for a small favor. But since you're off then...

Tanu: ...

Marie: Really? You're not gonna volunteer as my ever loving husband? Hmm?

Tanu: No.

Marie: Sheesh. Look who woke up on the wrong side of the bed. This doesn't have anything to do with that little thing I did with Adam and Michael last night, does it?

Tanu: Psh. You could've woken my ass up. You never did that without me before so...yeah. It's definitely about last night.

Marie: Thought so! What if I told you I wanna do that with you and Michael again?

Tanu: Keep going. I'm listening.

Marie: How about when you get back, me, you, and Michael have a threesome in private?

Tanu: I'm liking where this is going. And what about Adam?

Marie: No Adam whatsoever. How's that?
