Later on that day while at Kapolei, Tanu, Adam, and Marie were conversing casually about some random things.
"...I don't know. I guess it's because I appreciate the bliss of ignorance," smiled Marie.
She was currently braiding Adam's hair into cornrows energetically while he was busily re-configuring his assault rifle in silence.
"Don't you wanna know? I mean, I hate being ignorant to most of the things we're supposed to be learning before the big Ascension. I just wanna be ready is all," replied Tanu.
"I'm good with not knowing. In fact, I work better that way," replied Marie.
Just then, Adam's brow furrowed and clicked his tongue.
"Tsk! Quit braiding so goddamn hard, woman!"
"I can't help it if you're tender headed, babe!" laughed Marie.
Tanu chuckled amusingly. "That's why my hair is not gonna be long until AFTER we meet Marie in this lifetime. I wanna be there in the flesh so I can do this--"
Marie screamed out humorously as Tanu shoved her down on her back to nuzzle his stubbled beard into her stomach.
"Shit. Hurry up! I have to go soon!" snapped Adam.
"Fine," grinned Marie as she readjusted her spaghetti strap on her shoulder before sitting back up.
After she completed Adam's cornrows, he pecked her on the lips with a satisfied grin.
"Okay. Daddy's gotta go on duty for now. Wait up for me, okay?" he murmured against her lips.
"Okay," she chuckled as Tanu shot her a 'come hither' look in silence.
After another satisfying sexual session with Tanu, they began to converse quietly again.
"Oh, damn. I'm feeling that dread again. Can you check up with Chinny on who's doing that? I can't talk to them during their training exercises because it distracts them too much, Tanu," said Marie concerningly.
"I'll be back, then," winked Tanu as he threw on a pair of basketball shorts before flying off.
Marie smiled warmly and closed her eyes. Within minutes, she drifted off to sleep.
"Hmm...you feel so nice," murmured Tanu's voice in Marie's head. He was lovingly rubbing his cheek against hers as she stirred awake.
"Did you get that situation taken care of?" asked Marie as she yawned.
"What situation?" he whispered as his tongue slid over her neck alluringly.
She then furrowed her brow and shoved his head back.
"What other situation was there? I asked you to take care of it--"
"Oh," chuckled Tanu. "THAT situation. Yeah. We're all good, baby."
"What is wrong with you, huh? You're a little too frisky right now. Especially after you just replenished," grinned Marie in suspicion.
"Ooh, damn. We just replenished? Can we do that again, boo-boo?" whispered Tanu suggestively.
"What the hell...when did you EVER call me boo-boo?" laughed Marie.
"Um," stated Tanu. "I'm trying something new so don't trip, alright boo-boo?"
"You are definitely on something right now, Tanu. Are you---"
Just then, Tanu flipped her over and was about to enter her from behind when Marie suddenly flipped them both over in a state of panic. Her eyes were pure white and forced Tanu's arms over his head.
