It is now morning time and it's been a few hours since I snapped at Levi. I still felt really bad for him. We slept in separate offices last night and I hated the fact that I wasn't next to him. I didn't sleep very well and I'm sure he didn't either. I decided that I would apologize and let him know that I was just stressed out.
I got up and got ready for breakfast. I went slower than I usually do because I was still upset. My eyes were red from crying so I put some eye drops in them because I didn't want to seem weak. Once I finished, I slowly walked out of the room and headed to the mess hall. My stomach was filled with butterflies. I was so nervous while I was walking to my destination. I knew what to say but at the same time, I didn't. I knew I had to say sorry but I didn't know what to say after that. Before I knew it, I was in the mess hall. I immediately looked in his direction. He didn't have the stoic look he always had. It looked like he was depressed. He took one glance at me and instantly looked away. Maybe he resents me now. I guess I should just break up with him because he isn't happy with me anymore. Either way, I should still apologize.
As I walked up to the table, Levi got up and went somewhere else. He went and sat another table by himself with his head down. I paused and looked at his figure. I felt really bad. I decided it's best not to bother him so I continued over to the rest of the higher-ups. (A/N: You're a higher-up too so you can choose your rank)
"Hey Y/N! What's up with Levi? He seemed different today.", Hanji jumped. "Yeah, it was like he was really upset about something.", Erwin added. I nodded and sat down. I didn't want to tell them what happened but they seemed really concerned. "Maybe I should go talk to him. I'm sure he'll tell me what going on.", I tried to sound worried but in reality, I already knew what happened. "Yeah! Go do that!", Hanji said enthusiastically. "I know sometimes he can be a pain in the ass but you really don't realize how much people mean to you until they are gone. It feels like he's gone and I don't like it. So please bring back the Levi we all know. I'm begging you.", I thought about what Erwin said and replied, "Yes sir, I will.", I said while getting up. I took a deep breath and walked over to him.
I arrived at his table and sat next to him. He was still covering his face with his arms and I heard his faint sobs. My heart ached just from hearing it. I tapped his shoulder gently. "Hey, Levi. I just wanted to let you know I am so sorry for what I did last night. I didn't mean to make you cry.", said softly. He stayed in the same position for a moment, then he sat up. His face was covered in streaks of tears. His eyes were red and his breathing was unsteady. "Why? Why did you snap at me like that? Help me understand.", he spoke. I sighed. "I was um...just really stressed out and I took my frustration out on you. I didn't mean anything that I said to you last night. I apologize.", I looked down at the floor. Then he took my hand I looked at him. "I forgive you.", he said with a small smile. I gave him a long loving hug. He meant the world to me and couldn't risk losing him. If I lost him then I would probably lose myself too. I know this may happen again, but at least we can still maintain a good relationship right?
I let go of him and let out a little giggle. "What's so funny?", he asked in his normal serious tone. "I never knew you were so sensitive! Not that it's a bad thing it's just... I don't know! For a bad-ass like you to be sensitive is just funny.", I said. " I have feelings too brat. It's just some of my feelings are more vulnerable than others.", he said looking down. I leaned towards him and gave him a small kiss on the cheek. "It's ok. We all get sensitive sometimes.", I reassured him. He blushed and I laughed. I guess we were going to be ok. I stood up and walked over to the other higher-ups and Levi followed close behind me. "So what happened?", Hanji asked as we both sat down. "Oh, nothing. He just got a little emotional that's all.", I smiled at him and he rolled his eyes. "Oh. That's rare to hear that from the emotionless shorty.", Hanji teased. "Shut up, four eyes.", Levi retorted. "Well, at least we have our Levi back.", Erwin said. "Yep, sure do.", I responded.
