The clouds above were gray and ominous and dark
as they choked the last fading light of the sky.

In that moment we were surrounded by annihilation
yet so stupidly unaware of it all.

How could we bear to look past our own destruction
when there is a war waging within us?

And as I look upwards,
all I can think about is how I'll remember this forever.

This moment where emptiness multiplied within me,
overwhelming every last cell in my body,
to the point of entire domination.

And for a moment, I was filled with absolute desolation.

Ironic isn't?
To be consumed by hollowness.
