New Vampire In Town

The Door

When I opened the door, I saw black. I stepped through the door but left it open. It led me to a automatic door with a dull glowing button that said "open." I pushed it but it said to close the door behind me. When I put my code in on the other side it will lead me back. So I closed the door behind me and walked into the new world.

It was a large room, a ballroom with people in fancy clothes and having a good time. I stood there in pajamas looking weird. A plump woman over to the right noticed me. She walked over and said," can I help you my dear?" I new this was a new place because nobody at home says "my dear."

"Yes. I have no idea where I am or what to do." She seemed nice so I just bluntly told her. Then she told me to follow her so I did. I walked along a hard wood floor. The walls were am least 20 feet high and there were a lot of people in this huge room. None looked at me until I spotted Joey.

He walked over to me in a suit and said hey. I said, "hey! I have no idea what you have gotten me into and you say hey!" I lunged at him but the woman grabbed my shirt. She said, " don't do that. It is useless." The she gestured me to follow. Joey did the same. So I followed her to one side of the round ball room with a door.

She opened it to a dressing room that was huge. I wondered how much square feet this place had. I walked in slowly, very surprised. The place was so nice. It has velvet curtains and hardwood floors like in the ballroom. The the woman walked beside me and stopped in front of me. So I stopped.

"Now, what size are you?" She asked. I said medium. She pulled out a black dress. It was long and silky. But the woman said it was fake silk. It was still pretty. She gave it to me and lead me to another area of the room. I thought, this place is huge.

I tried it on but it was like the black Cinderella dress. I asked if she had anything without this huge skirt. "I'll be right back." she said this with more enthusiasm than before. She comes back with a short, sparkly, black dress. It is slim at the top and at the bottom of my to cage it is a skirt to my mid thigh. "I love it," I told the woman. Thank you mrs...." "Trina. I help most of the new vampires get ready for the party." "What party?" I asked. "The one outside now let's go!" She said happily. So I followed her back into the ballroom.

Joey was standing there talking to another boy vampire about our age. He turned around when he heard Trina's footsteps. Mine were silent because I didn't have any shoes on. "You look nice." He said. "Thank you." There wasn't much exchange there.

"Oh. We almost forgot your shoes! Come now." So I followed. She lead me to the biggest shoe department I have ever seen. Trina lead me to a pair that were black and sparkly like my dress. They had a heal of 4 inches. Which was good because I was very short compared to the other boys in the ballroom.

They were the most comfortable heals I have every worn. I thanked Trina again. She said," wait. I have to give a key." Key? I didn't question it so I followed. She lead me through another hallway to a door. The room was small this time. The floors still hardwood but there was this thing on the wall. Trina told me to stand against the wall in front of the thing.

"A key is a bottom you press that will put you in this outfit. It is amazing. I know you need one because you were transformed against your will so most don't want to leave their mundane life totally." "Mundane?" I questioned. "It's the proper term for humans." She said. The thing on the wall buzzed then a plastic button fell out. She gave it to me and said," Now, lets party!" We went back to the ballroom.

I stood in the corner eating cookies watching everybody. When the clock struck 6 mundane time, I went to what they called the "Station." I typed in my pin and walked though the door. I was in my room. It was amazing. I pushed the little bottom, or key, and I was in my pajamas.

That was my first night. Then the drama starts.
