Turned Again

As I stepped through it was just like the first time. I was in my pajamas when I stepped out and saw Joey in his suit. He said nothing but handed me a key. I pushed the button on the key and was put into a black dress similar to the one I had before. It was sparkly and the skirt started at my waist. But it had different sleeves. They horizontal across my upper arm, like Beauty's dress in the movie Beauty in the Beast. I had 3 inch heals in and they were thick heals, I could walk more comfortable in them than the 4 inch ones I had before.

He lead me to a private room with nothing in it. He closed the door and turned to look at me. "Let's get this over with." He said in a mopey way as he walking toward me. "Why so sad?" "I know the transformation hurts and I don't want hear you scream again. It hurts my ears." "Ok I'll try not to scream." I said smiling. He still wasn't smiling.

I stood there as he got right up in my face. On hand on my waist and one on my neck to position to bite. Then he stopped. "What are you waiting for?" "Ok, I've heard people change their mind right before and it would be too late." "Well, go ahead." I didn't hesitate that statement. I loved it here and wanted to be back with my friends.

Then he bit down. I cringed in pain as he sunk his teeth in the neck. Then he releases me. He stood back and went to grab something but I collapsed, I was dizzy immediately after he bit me, I was probably still weak from the whole encounter like week ago. He turned around when he heard the thump. Before everything went black I heard him call for Trina.

I woke up with a towel on my neck and laying on a bed. Those beds were like the ones in the ER. "Hey, Laura can you hear me?" Trina asked leaning over me. "Yeah, what happened?" "Well, after Joey bit you, you passed out from not being strong enough. But you were out durning your transformation, so you didn't consciously feel any pain. Welcome back to the clan Laura!" Then Joey walked in with another towel.

He dropped it when he saw I was awake. "Good. Your awake. I thought I had killed you." Then he picked up the towel. A white towel. Why use a white towel to stop blood? That's when he handed it to Trina to put a the new towel on my bloody neck. The old towel was soaked and was now a dark red. "Did that used to be white?" I asked surprised. "It was. You should stop bleeding soon." Trina said with a sigh.

Once the bleeding stopped I got up and went to the bathroom to wash the blood off my neck. I couldn't see any wounds in my neck but there was smeared blood everywhere. It was weird. But I went back out to see Joey waiting for me.

"Hey I'm going to tell everybody your back with a toast." He handed my a dark red drink. "It's basically a grape juice with a hint of blood. We are not old enough to drink wine so grape juice is the new best thing." he said smiling. I smiled back and took a sip. "This is good." I said.

Then we walked through the ballroom up to the throne platform. I heard whispers as I walked through the crowd. Everybody was quiet when we reached the throne platform. "Now, to celebrate the return of Laura, a toast to Laura!" "Cheers!" Everyone said at the same time lifting their glasses and then Taking a sip. Everyone was smiling. I didn't notice how many people new me and liked me.

After the toast, I took my glass and walked over toward Talia and Raymond. "Hey guys." I said with energy in my voice. "You smell like a vamp. I thought you were humanized?" Raymond questioned. "Joey turned me back." "And you survived it? You lost a lot of blood during your humanizing. At least it looked like it." Said Raymond. "Hey Laura, did you hear what happened to the Hybrid leader? He was killed in the dungeon." Talia asked with worry in her voice. "His son want to get revenge on his father."

"Yeah, I know he's dead. I saw him die. I didn't kill him, but I know who did." I told her. She and Raymond looked in surprise. "Well, who did it? He should be our leader!" "Don't tell anybody, I don't want him to get in trouble. Joey did." They looked at me like I was crazy. "He stabbed him with the humanizing liquid and then drank him dry. He just fell dead."

That made more sense to them. We talked till we had to go back to the mundane world. I ate way to many cookies that night. They have good bakers there. I pressed my key and was in my pajamas again. Then I put my code in and went back.
