Nothing exited happened on the plains. We walked, we ate, and we drank. Then we walked some more. When we got there, Gabriel began to protest.
"Stop! My mom will never let me be the leader now. Not with my younger brother being perfect. Please let me go!" He kept repeating this. When we walked through the village not looking at any of the hybrids faces. Gabriel did though. I feel his pulse, I had him by the color of his white, button down shirt. he was nervous and guilty.
Joey knocked in the door. Gabriel's mother opened the door. "Surprise! He are here to return something of yours." I said pushing him forward. Giving a sarcastic smile when I pushed him. "What did he do?" She asked, looking concerned. "He broke into our base, destroyed a recently repaired wall, and cut me." I said showing the 7 inch cut on my forearm. The same one the old leader bit. "Oh, I'm so sorry. He will be punished. But why is there an arrow in his leg?" "He cut me, it was self defense." She said bye and thanked us for bringing him back. I could tell she thought that my arrow was a little bit of a exaggerated approach. I didn't care.
We left after she closed the door. Me and Joey walked through the village. We were silent, but the people in the market around us weren't. There whispered were hard to ignore. They were talking about us, because as soon as we reached the plains, the whispering stopped behind us.
We walked another 3 day walk across the plains. We still didn't speak, there was nothing to say. He was mopey the entire time, which makes me think he was guilty for something. I don't know what though. Ever since he turned me again he has been so, quiet.
