When we got to the base, most of the vamps were sold as slaves and promised only the amount of blood to keep them alive. Those vamps included Talia and Raymond. Though they were bought together. Which was good for me because when I would find them, they would be together. Me and Joey went a different way. To the dungeon.

We were in the same cell. It was along the hallway were other cells just like it. We had our hands chained to the walls in a position so we were facing each other. We weren't promised any blood since we were sent here to die because we were deemed dangerous. I don't know how Joey was dangerous. I don't even think I saw a bruise in the hybrids that got him.

They had fixed my ankle before I was locked away. It was a dislocated bone in my foot. They fixed it partially because I complained too much. Partially because I couldn't walk from place to place and they were tired of carrying me.

I was getting thirstier by the minute. I began to try to break the chains on the 4th day down her. My wrists were bruised. Joey had given up and just stood there. I had not. After bruising my wrists, I tried a smarter approach. I studied the cuffs in the chains. I looked on how well they were attached to the wall. I grabbed a hair pin, my leaning my head toward my hand. Joey laughed, I kind of looked funny doing it. I had it in my hair to keep my bangs out of my face, when I got it I breathed a sigh of relief. I thought I might be able to escape. Then I attempted to pick the lock on my cuff.

"Don't try. Even if you do escape, then what will you do?" He asked this until I have him an answer. "I will drink something. Then I will free the vamps. I must. I can't stand it here any longer." I was tired of looking at stone and him. He wasn't exactly beautiful. In that cell, we didn't talk. For entire weeks, we had been there 3 weeks by then. I tried to pick it every day for those 3 weeks. When my cuff came loose, a breathed a sigh of relief. Huge relief. I took the pin out of my mouth and opened the other cuff. I had to pick it with my mouth because my hands were tied. Then I opened Joeys but I had to figure out how because his cuffs must had had a different key. That took 3 minutes.

My eyes were red with thirst. I also picked the lock of the cell gate and let us out. I put my hair pin back in the hair. "That was easier than I thought." I told Joey. Once I got how to pick the lock it was easy. I walked quietly down the hallway of prisoners. "I will still be a vamp if I bite a hybrid right?" I asked Joey. "Yeah. Just don't bite the neck."

I nodded and smiled. I picked the lock of a cell with 2 hybrids on it. I acted like I was commuting a jail break but I just drank them dry. I picked another cell for Joey. When we heard footsteps, we ran back to our cells and I put the cuffs back on but they didn't lock. I was surprised they didn't lock automatically.

When the cells were open and the hybrids dead, they thought a vamp had gotten loose. So they checked our cells first. We were all locked up so no need to worry. I we smiled at each other when they left. When all if the hybrid police went outside to look for a loose vampire, that was their biggest mistake. We slipped out and ran to the weapon room.

I grabbed a bow with silver arrows like I had before and Joey admitted he didn't know how to use a weapon. I gave him a dagger and said stab anyone who gets to close. Then we set out for freedom.

We saw countless vamps working as slaves when we slipped out. We sneaked off into the woods so he could make a plan. "We should go for the leader, we could make him free the vamps. You should create a peace treaty." "He will never sign." "Yes he will. I got a few tricks up my sleeve." I smiled a wide smile. So did he.

We pretended to be slaves sent to get things from the market so nobody would think we were escaping. When we got to the market, I bolted. Then everybody knew it was clear but didn't react. They all stood in fear. I think they had faith in the guards, big mistake. Joey started running like a minute after I had.

On the move, I shot 5 guards. I snuck through the rest of the way. Joey was close behind me. I felt my pulse in my ears, and I was breathing heavy. I was scared. I began to think as I turned another hallway. Will I be punished? Will he let the others go but not me? What if I fail? I put that behind me as I snuck into the bedroom to find something I didn't mean too.

The hybrid leader and his wife were sleeping. I carefully grabbed to wife and out my hand over her mouth to muffle her noise. I handed her to Joey who held the dagger to her throat. I loaded my arrow and pointer it at his head. I could have killed him, but that wouldn't get me what I wanted.

"It's time to wake up." I said firmly. He shot up and saw his wife terrified, Joey with the dagger, and me with the arrow. Joey was good at acting intimidating. I was almost impressed. Almost. "What do you want?" He questioned. Then I smiled showing my fangs. His face went pale. "Your vampires? How did you escape? Then he saw that my hair pin was messed up and scratched. You picked the lock?"

"Give the vamps their freedom and send them back. You can have me but let them be free." Joey was going to protest but I turned and gave a shut up or I'll rip your face off look. I was getting good at those. He was quiet after that. I still held my bow pointing at him. "Now free them, or your wife goes," I said trying to sound intimidating.

"You wouldn't." He said. Then I shot hit in the hand I hit at the vampire base. Then quickly loaded another arrow. He howled in pain like he usually does, and said,"Fine. They go and he goes." Straining the syllable when he said he. "My wife stays, they are free, but you are getting humanized." He said as he pointed toward me.

Joey started to protest and he ran toward the hybrid. I turned and put my hand on his chest to stop him. I whispered in his ear,"Go and be free. Fix the vampires and finished what you started. I can handle this." I said. When he turned the leader spoke, "Have your general lead them back to the base. I want you to watch her." He smiled the biggest smile I've ever seen.

Joey turned around and I could see the pain in his eyes. I didn't know what it meant to be humanized, so I wasn't scared. "Signal General Adam to lead." He said ok and went to the others ready.

I was chained and so was Joey. This wasn't turning it how I planned. We walked to the balcony of the hybrids leaders room. As they left down the Main Street of the hybrid town. After they reached the plains Joey got a empty polices room and I got chained in a cell, again.
