Honesty Is Pain

Lucifer found being away from ruby to be rather.. difficult after that day. Especially when his father and brothers were all nagging him constantly to make her return to the chest and telling him that loving her like this was selfish because they could never have a child and further God's plans for her line.
Well one day Lucifer had enough and just left. He left and had no intentions on returning until they laid off.
He stayed with his beloved ruby. His. She was his. She told him so. She didn't want to be God's pawn and he would not make her.
He didn't require sleep so he would watch her bare chest rise and fall as she slept bathed in the pale moonlight coming from their window.
He didn't need food but he would eat her cooking because it made her so happy to watch him eat and to see her smile was better than seeing the pearly gates open for him. He truly loved her. It was a passionate and firey love and he was so happy that she loved him in return. It was like they were made for eachother.

Ruby swung her hips as she sang a little song and swept the floors of their little home when Lucifer slipped in from outside and wrapped his arms around her. "Hey beautiful." He purred in her ear, making her giggle.
"Lucifer! Your fur is tickling my neck again!" She protested.
He chuckled. "Good. I like hearing your laugh." He said as he moved to kiss her neck.
She giggled for a moment before turning in his arms. "Lucifer. Darling I have news for you..."
He smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Oh? What is it my beloved?"
"Lucifer..." She whispered, moving to take his hands and place them over her belly. "You're going to be a father."
Lucifer had no time to rejoice. No time to smile or cry or laugh or kiss his woman with the joy that filled his heart. No. In that next moment the sky went dark and thunder rolled. Or at least that's what ruby heard. Lucifer heard his father yelling his name, angry, enraged with him.
Ruby looked at Lucifer with fear as he clung to her and their door began to shake and two of his brothers broke it down.
Ruby could see nothing but Lucifer being forcefully torn from her arms and out of their home and in the next moment she felt a sharp pain in her abdomen that brought her to her knees as a rush of blood spilled from her and tears rolled down her face as she heard Lucifer cry and scream and plead with the forces pulling him away to let him go to let him be with her as she fell over and lost the fight to stay awake.

God was livid with Lucifer, accusing him of going against him and blasphemy and Lucifer was equally as livid, accusing God of murder and being a controlling asshole... to put it in a nicer way than what was actually said.
Upon hearing his son speak to him in such a manner God was not pleased and gave Lucifer but one last chance to redeem himself. Telling him to bring ruby back to the chest and before the crown council at once or else.
Lucifer, with tears flowing down his face and an angry glare in his eyes, refused.
And for his disobedience his wings were ripped from his back and he was cast from heaven, forever.

Ruby awoke to a pain in her back and her abdomen, covered in her own blood and the blood of her unborn child.
Slowly she sat up, feeling as if something heavy was weighing down her back and she turned her head to spot two huge angel wings and her eyes widened.
She would have screamed if Lucifer didn't stumble into the house in that moment and look down at her, his once golden eyes now slowly turning red and black, his once white fur turning dark as night. His teeth seemed to be growing longer and sharper and his halo was gone, being replaced by two huge horns sprouting from his skull.
He looked down at her and when he saw the wings he chuckled darkly, his voice having changed from the one cheerful and loving voice now to a low growl. "Now that's fucked up." He muttered before coming to her side and kneeling down to pick her up to place her on their bed and she placed a hand on his cheek. "Lucifer... what happened to you?"
"I fell in love with you..." He said, taking her hand from his cheek and setting her down, turning for the door. "I'm going for the doctor. Stay there." He said curtly before walking out, leaving her there on the bed, tears rolling down her face. This was not her Lucifer.
