The whole casino froze, all eyes on the scene before them.
The devil, his eyes wide, trident in hand and run through the abdomen of his lover.
Ruby, her eyes wide as well, blood now dripping down her chin as she coughed it up.
Dice looking on in horror with the boys doing the same as they looked at the prongs of the trident sticking out of her back.

The devil made trident disappear and ruby flinched before her wings slumped on her back and she stumbled a step forward before falling, the devil took to his knees and he caught her, cradling her close as she laid her hands over the now bleeding wounds. Her whole body shook and she whimpered.
"Mom!" Dice finally shouted, snapping out of the shock as he rushed to her side and he looked her over before trying to help put pressure on the wounds, blood getting on his clothes but he didn't care. He couldn't lose his mother! Not like this.
Cup and mug looked on wide eyed, unable to understand why that lady did that for them until Mugman gasped, his grip on cuphead getting tighter. "Cuppy... look... shes... the necklace..." He said, pointing to the brown stone on the string that ruby never took off.
Cuphead felt tears sting his eyes. "Mom?" He whispered and ruby took her eyes off Lucifer and dice and saw her baby boys, both terrorfied and crying and she bit her lip.
"It's ok boys..." She choked out. "It's gonna be ok..." She tried to assure before coughing up another mouth full of blood. She grabbed dices arm. "King... king look at me." She ordered and he peeled his eyes off her wounds and looked into her eyes.
"King... take the boys to our room and have wheezy call kettle... please baby."
He shook his head. " I'm not leaving you! Are you crazy!" He shouted and she reached up her bloody hands and placed them on the sides of his face.
"Dice! Listen to me! Theyre...they're your brothers... they're little. They don't need to be here. Please help me and take them where they're safe and do what I asked...please baby." She pleaded, tears rolling down her face as her hands started getting cold.
Dice whimpered and bit his lip, too afraid to question how they could be his brothers. Instead he just leaned in and kissed her cheek before he stood and went to pick the boys up and rushed them away as they tried to protest and they called for her.
When their voices disappeared she began to choke and cough far more violently as she let out cries of pain. "Luci... darling... hospital. Now." She choked out and he nodded snapping his fingers after he picked her up and stood, her blood dripping down his body.
They disappeared and reappeared in a cloud of smoke but when the smoke went away they were in the ER and devil rushed her to the counter, begging the nurse there for help.
The poor thing looked terrified but happily called for back up to take ruby, leaving the devil to fall to his knees as ruby was whisked away from him to be treated and for the first time since that awful day he bowed his head and folded his head and prayed with all he had in him.
