Salutations fellow bokoblins. Just as a heads up, I'm not great at writing fighting scenes, so apologies if it sucks.

Lisomah POV

I leave the main bar room and head upstairs. I walk quietly down the hall until I see room 12. I ready my bow, knock an arrow, and kick open the door. The arrow flies but hits none of them. They all turn to me with weapons drawn.

Drow Headmaster: "Well if it isn't the descendent. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Lisomah: "What are you talking about. Anyway, you already know what I came for, so just go ahead and hand it over."

Drow Headmaster: "Hmm, a tempting offer. How about we just kill you, take your valuables, and we keep this amulet?"

Lisomah: "Fine, if it is a fight you want, then it is a fight you shall get!"

I unsheathe my two small swords and get ready to fight the trio.

No one's POV

The Drow headmaster readies his long sword as the others ready a short sword and crossbow. All three charge at Lisomah, and while she can block the melee combatants, the crossbow wielder lands a hit into Lisomah's shoulder. She backflips and pierces the Drow through the neck. He falls on the floor and dies. She continues to block the other Drows as they slowly begin to power over her.

Lucius POV

I finish my drink and bid farewell to the bartender. I walk upstairs on my way to my room when I hear the sound of fighting a few rooms down. I rush down the hallway and listen in. I hear the sounds of the Drow's and Aasimer's grunts from earlier. I normally wouldn't want to get involved with whatever is going on, but that ship had sailed when the first talked to me. I rush back to my room and grab my fighting gear and healing supplies.

On my way back to the scene I hear a blood-curdling scream. I decide it is best to not barge in. I change forms to a small spider and crawl under the door. The scene I'm greeted with was a dead Drow on the floor, an Aasimer with an arrow in her shoulder, and two other Drows attacking her as she blocks them. I knew those Drows seemed suspicious, but not in this way. Even if she is a thief, I'm going to help her. I move to a higher point in the room and prepare to jump.

Drow Headmaster: "So thief, have you had enough yet, or do you want to continue this dance?"

Lisomah: "I'm never giving up to the likes of you!"

Drow Headmaster: "Fine have it your way. Let's end this!"

No one's POV

The headmaster swings his blade and knocks Lisomah's short sword out of her hands. She continues to block the other Drow's attacks. Lucius jumps and in mid-air, changes form back to Wood-Elf. With his axe drawn above his head, he slices it into the headmaster's back.

Drow: "AAAUUGGHH!!"

The headmaster's body gushes out in blood as he screams in pain. Lisomah, now given the chance, ducks under the final Drow's attack and slices him in the neck. All three Drows lay dead in a pool of their own blood, as Lisomah and Lucius stand above them, catching their breath.

Lisomah: "Thanks, but why did you help me?"

Lucius: "Those three seemed suspicious when they first talked to me. I thought they were thieves like you, so I paid no mind to it. When I had heard the commotion, I knew what had happened. Do you want me to take a look at your injuries?"

Lisomah: "Why should I let you?"

Lucius: "I'm a Druid, so I know a thing or two about healing."

Lisomah: "Alright."

Lisomah POV

I give the Druid my arm, and he begins to work his magic. Within a few seconds, he is done.

Lisomah: "Wow, you're quite skilled at healing magic."

Lucius: "Thank you, I trained a lot back at my home town. Anyway, let's leave this room. I'd prefer to talk outside of blood puddles "

Lisomah: "You have a good point.  Let's head down to the bar"

I grab the amulet and we leave the room. We walk down to the bar and sit at one of the empty tables. The Druid offers to get some water for both of us. I don't refuse since I'm extremely worn out. He returns with the drinks.

Lucius: "So what was your beef with those guys?"

Lisomah: "They stole the Amulet of Karthula from us. I was tasked to take it back."

Lucius: "Makes sense to me. They said they were planning to board a ship tomorrow, so good thing we stopped them last minute."

Lisomah: "Yeah. So, what's your name?"

Lucius: "The name's Lucius. Yours?"

Lisomah: "Lisomah. So, Where are you from?"

Lucius: "I'm from the town of Senneto, it is where most Bards, Clerics, and Druids go to train to be more skilled in their class. I was born there and had an interest in becoming a Druid. What about you Lisomah?"

Lisomah: "The city of Remire, it was in the 2nd largest district in the Veridian Empire."

Lucius: "I heard of the Remire Genocide. You escaped it?"

Lisomah: "Yes, but at the cost of my parents' life. I want to go back there and avenge theirs and others' deaths from the Dark Alliance."

Lucius: "What is stopping you?"

Lisomah: "Money. I don't have enough to buy a boat to sail there."

Lucius: "I'm actually heading there myself to visit my brother. He is an officer within the Empire."

Lisomah: "Really?!"

Lucius: "Yeah, there is a passenger ship coming tomorrow that I'm getting on. He had informed the captain that I am allowed on for free plus an extra passenger if I brought someone along. My family and friends were busy so I came by myself."

Lisomah: "Could I come along for the trip?"

Lucius: "I don't see why not if I was in your position, I would ask the same."

Lisomah: "Thank you so much. When should I meet you at the ship?"

Lucius: "Around mid-day tomorrow. You will probably need to let the guild know you will be gone for a while if I'm not  mistaken."

Lisomah: "Yeah, I'll see you mid-day tomorrow at the docks."

Lucius: "Same"

I left the bar. I can't believe it, I can finally go back to Veridia, I can go avenge those I cared for. Though I do wonder, why is Lucius helping me? This isn't his problem. I'll ask him tomorrow. One thing did confuse me. Why did the Drows call me a descendant?
