Chapter 1: All aboard the Morning Star

Salutations fellow bokoblins. Would you look at that? We finished the prologue. What a way to end it too. Anyway, let's continue the tale.

Lisomah POV

Lisomah: "When with these nightmares stop haunting me?"

I wake up from the dream with fear and frustration.

At least now I have a chance to take revenge. Those soulless killers murdered my whole family. Everyone I ever loved and cared for. They will get what is coming to them. I make sure I have everything I need, eat a quick snack, and head out. Lucius said to meet him at the docks around mid-day. I loom to the clock tower and see the clock say 11:50. I make my way to the docks.

Lisomah"Let's head to the dock."

Lucius POV

I had just finished the supply run I needed to do before the trip to Veridian Empire. I arrive at the docks to see the ship I need to get on. The Morning Star. From what I know, this ship is the main ship that takes passengers from the imperial borders to other dock cities throughout the Crodon Sea. I sit at a bench near the ship and wait for Lisomah. After a few minutes of waiting, I see her arrive.

Lucius: " Hey Lisomah."

Lisomah: "Hello." 

Lucius: "Over there is the Morning Star. It's the ship we are getting on."

Lisomah: "It's a large vessel. This is the Empires'."

Lucius: " It sure is. Apparently, this beast can hold up to 1,000 passengers and 300 crew members."

Lisomah: "Fascinating." 

Lucius: " Alright. Let's quit looking at the thing and hop on."

Lisomah: "Haha. Yeah."

Lisomah POV

We walk down the dock and wait in line to get on. 

Lisomah: "Hey Lucius, I've been meaning to ask you,"

Lucius: " Yeah?"

Lisomah: " Why are you helping me? This isn't your problem, it is mine."

Lucius: " My mother always told me to help others in need if given the chance."

Lisomah: "Really?"

Lucius: "Yeah. She is the one who had helped me become as proficient as I am as a Druid."

His mother seems really nice. From what I remember, my mom was the same way too.

"Lisomah: " What about your father?"

"He was so nice. He works as a healer using his magic. He is very well known around Senneto. He taught me how to use healing magic as well."

Lisomah: " That's why you are such a good healer?"

Lucius: " I'm not that great. Although my brother said that I can train at Vorthal as well."

Lisomah: "Sounds like you've got a plan."

Lucius: "Yeah, I guess I do."

Crewmate: "NEXT!"

Lisomah: "Looks like we are up."

Crewmate: "Do you two have tickets or reservations?"

Lucius: "Reservations."

Crewmate: "What's the name?"

Lucius: " Lucius Crosshair and Guest."

Crewmate: "Ah Tralar's brother. Heard he got a promotion 2 days ago."

Lucius: "Really?"

Crewmate: " Yep. He is now a commander. Welcome aboard!"

Lucius: "Thank you."

We walk up the walkway and to the lobby.

Lisomah: "So your brother is now a commander of the Imperial army."

Lucius: "I guess so. I'll have to congratulate him when I see him. Hey, there is the receptionist. Let's ask where our rooms are. Excuse me, sir."

Receptionist: "Yes?"

Lucius: " My name is Lucius Crosshair. Where are our rooms?"

Receptionist: " You will have the suite room #02. It is upstairs and down the hall. Here are the keys, and enjoy your stay."

Lucius: "Thank you."

Lisomah: " Haha, I guess Tralar wants to give you special treatment."

Lucius: "I guess so."

As we leave, we feel the ship moving, Looks like we set sail.

Lucius POV

We make it to the suite and open the doors. Geez, this place looks 10 times better than my room back home. It has two beds, separate restrooms, a balcony, and what looks to be a living room.

Lucius: "I can't believe my eyes."

Lisomah: "Neither can I."

Lucius: " Hey what is this?"

On a table near the door, there lies a letter. It has my name on it. I open it up and it reads,

Dear Lucius Crosshair,

I hope you like the room. Your brother told me to get you the best on the ship. Once you and your guest get unpacked, come to the bridge. I would like to have a private dinner with you and your guest.
