Lisomah POV
As we leave the ship, we get stopped by Brodsky.
Lucius: "What do you need?"
Brodsky: "Would you two accompany me to Captain Cranter's office? You two can help recount what had happened on the ship. we also need to tell him of the death of my father."
Lisomah: "Sure. We need to get some stuff anyway."
Lucius: "What do we need?"
Lisomah: "I want to get new shortswords. I've had these for a few years, and I could do with an upgrade."
Lucius: "Sounds good. We'll head with you Brodsky, then head to the blacksmith."
Brodsky: "Alright. Follow me this way.
We walk off the ship and towards the city. It has a decent size to it. By the looks of it, a lot of guards as well. Guess every city is on edge. We walk to some fountain surrounded by shops.
Brodsky: "This is the city center. It has a beautiful fountain, as well as shops, inns, and taverns for whatever you need."
Lucius: "Looks like we will be back here."
Lisomah: "We sure will."
We walk past a few of the civilians sitting by the fountain. They look homeless.
Homeless Civilian: "Could you please spare some gold. Just 2 please."
Lucius digs in his pocket and pulls out some gold.
Lucius: "Here is 4. Go buy yourself some food ok."
Homeless Civilian: "Thank you so much, kind soul."
Lucius: "Don't mention it. Stay safe."
We continue to walk forward.
Lisomah: "She could have been a thief, or wanting to buy a weapon. Why did you do that?"
Lucius: "I wouldn't have spared it if I had known she was wanting to inflict harm upon others. I know she didn't. She had a look with her face that said otherwise. I had already told you about how I was bullied as a kid. Well, I was able to learn how to perceive how people felt about me. It is how I made friends. It is also why I chose to help you. "
Lisomah: "What makes me different from other thieves?"
Lucius: "You may be a thief on the outside, and that's how most would perceive you. On the inside, I could see you had heart. The way you hold your blade, the way you talk to others, and the way you express emotions. It all shows your true intentions. You are just a lost soul, wanting vengeance on those who slaughter mercilessly."
Lisomah: "I never thought of it that way. I thought you helped me out of pity."
Lucius: "I did not. Plus you've proven to be a great friend."
Lisomah: "Thank you. Same to you too."
Lucius: "Thanks."
Brodsky: "Alright we are here."
I look up and see the city hall. It is a 2 story building, with windows all around.
Lucius: "Quite the building. So this is the city hall?"
Brodsky: "Indeed."
We walk in and head to the reception desk.
Brodsky: "Excuse me, ma'am. Is Captain Cranter here?"
