Chapter 25: The Abandoned Blintercrest

Lisomah POV

Cia places down a dish for each of us. It looks to be roasted boar with grilled veggies. Rolen places down a glass of water for each of us. They take their seats at the table.

Lucius: "Senneto cuisine tonight. Mmm."

Brodsky: "What makes this different from other dishes?"

Lia: "Around Senneto, there is a large span of woods. Within those woods, there are many unique herbs and spices that we use in most of our dishes. It gives them a bounce in taste if you will."

We begin to eat dinner.

Lisomah: "So, you had these on you?"

Rolen: "While we were escaping, we had to travel through the woods to keep cover. Along the way, we grabbed some herbs to replant here. After this war ended, Lia and I wanted to open up a little dinner where we make all sorts of dishes for those who come around."

Lucius: "I'll definitely show up. Where would this be?"

Lia: "We were thinking, if possible, to have it in Remire. Since we are kind of missing a proper home, we were wanting to live in Remire. Based on the stories, it was a beautiful place."

Lisomah: "It really was. I hope to rebuild it to how it used to be. I'm sure Hadir would approve."

Lucius: "He would most likely want you as the new governor. Would you want that position?"

Lisomah: "I am not sure. Guess I really never thought of it."

Cia: "Who would you want to be the new governor in your place?"

Brodsky: "What about your uncle? Sabjorn seems to be a natural-born leader."

Lisomah: "I'll see what he thinks. He would be the perfect candidate after all."

Cia: "Where are we heading to next Lisomah?"

Lisomah: "Tomorrow we set out to Blintercrest. Afterward, we are rendezvousing with the other two teams for one all-out strike on Remire."

Cia: "Blintercrest will be easier than here. I stationed most of my troops here."

Brodsky: "So you indirectly helped us and didn't realize it. Nice work."

Cia: "Haha. Thanks."

We continue to eat. We finish up dinner. Rolen and Lia grab our dishes."

Rolen: "We will get these cleaned up. You all can head to bed."

Lucius: "*grunt* My arms feel sore, they could do with a break."

Brodsky: "Mine as well."

Cia: "Where should I sleep?"

Lisomah: "The quarters in this place are mostly destroyed. You are going to need to bunk with someone."

Cia: "What about with you?"

Lisomah: "I am currently sharing with Lucius. Sorry."

Cia: "Hmm. Brodsky, you got space?"

Brodsky: "Yes I do. You fine bunking with me?"

Cia: "Sure."

Brodsky: "Well goodnight you two."

Lucius: "Goodnight."
