In the six months I had been on the island, I had not seen any riders other than Arya, Eragon, and myself, so it came as quite a shock for me when a blood red dragon landed in the center of the island. Eragon rushed over to greet the dragon's rider.
"Murtagh!" Eragon greeted hugging the rider after he had dismounted.
"It's been a long time, brother," Murtagh replied smiling.
"Agreed. Welcome to Shur'gatl Isle. Come, come, I want to show you around."
Murtagh followed Eragon as Eragon showed him the island. After they were out of sight, Arya came over to me with both of the children, "Have you seen Eragon anywhere?"
"He walked off with Murtagh to show him around," I replied.
Arya sighed frustrated, "He knows I need to talk to him."
"Would you like me to go find him?"
"No, no, I'll find find him. Can you run an errand for me?"
"Sure, what do you need?"
"I need you to take an egg to Ellismëra for me."
"Okay, Freohr's been looking for a chance to stretch his wings. Any particular egg you wand me to take?"
"No, you choose."
After that, I rushed off to grab an egg so I could get going as soon as possible. Nothing was going to stop me from seeing my dunei, Edoc'sil. Freohr and I flew as fast as we could, cutting the trip in half compared to our trip to the island. As I walked into the throne room, in Ellismëra, holding the red egg I had grabbed, I noticed who the new soverign was.
"Mother," I called out running to where she sat at the end of the long hall.
My mother smiled, "Aiedail, it has been a long time."
"Too long, Mother. I brought another egg to be passed around."
"As I can well see. How have you been?"
"Amazing. I fly with Freohr every day, and being near the savior of Alagaesia is just such an honor to behold."
"That is good," my Mother replied happily, then she turned serious. "Aiedail, there is something you must know about Edoc'sil."
"What is it? Is he hurt?" I asked worried.
"No, he is well, but you may not wish to see him. When he realized you had left to be a rider, he decided to take another to be his mate," she said it so softly that I almost didn't hear her.
"HE WHAT!?"
"I am sorry to have to be the one to tell you."
"It is not your fault, Mother. I have to go."
I ran out of the hall, and ran into the one person I did not want to see. When I saw it was him, I shoved him out of the way and continued running with tears shamelessly running down my face. Vaguely, I was aware of Freohr following me, but I was too angry and hurt to pay him any attention.
'Aiedail?' Freohr asked with worry in his voice.
I didn't trust my voice weather it be internal or external, so I replayed what happened for him through my memories.
'You're too good for him anyways, Aiedail,' Freohr told me after I was finished.
'Thanks, Freohr. I'm not ready to go back; why don't we go visit Queen Nasuada? Eragon gave me instructions as to how to find the city in case I ever had to go there.'
Freohr nodded, and we began our journey to Ilirea. We decided to take our time getting there, and along the way, we met the a new rider.

Who's the new rider? Is it human? Elf? Urgal? Dwarf? You'll just have to wait and see. By the way, I updated this at school.
