Listen to the silence.
Listen as it calls.
Come away, come away with me.
We will make, we will make
ends meet.STERLING'S POV:
We walk down the stairs, and I know Harry is probably very nervous to be actually sitting down here with my dad and conversing with him. If he's anything like me, parents are the worst part of making new friendships. From what I can tell we're actually a lot alike, and part of me is starting to wonder if we're the same star sign because of how well we speak to each other... Maybe his rising is in Leo, and that's where the arrogance comes in... He could also be a pisces, that being my sister sign would mean we'd get along well... But he wont tell me.
"Hey Ster, how are- Oh, you have a guest over." He speaks, noticing Harry behind me.
"Good afternoon Sir, I know we've met before, but it's lovely to see you again." Harry speaks in a formal voice, looking to my dad, and extending his hand.
"Wow I feel like royalty." He jokes, knowing damn well he's never had any type of introduction this formal. "I'm joking around. What's going on? I know there's no treehouse building with the rain." He speaks out, motioning to the back window.
"He was just-" I start, but Harry interrupts.
"The rain had me stuck inside, and having a friend live next door is a luxury I've never had before so I wanted to take advantage of it, and see if Sterling wanted to hangout." He speaks, keeping his words formal. His posture looks like he's got a rod in his back, standing up straight.
"Mmm friends... So what do you two plan on doing?" He asks, and Jon runs in the room, going straight to Harry, jumping up. Harry smiles, and opens his hands up, crouching down to pet the dog.
"Yes friends.." I whisper to my dad, and give him glaring eyes. "As for what we're going to be doing, I'm not really sure, we didn't get that far yet." I tell him.
"Why don't you two make me dinner then?" He asks me, and raises his eyebrows.
"Oh my god, you're so needy... We're not cooking you-"
"I love to cook... I wouldn't mind." Harry stands up, straightening his shirt out.
"See he loves to cook, I'll be in the office, call me in here when it's ready." He gives me a wink and walks out of the room, which irritates me instantly. I turn around to Harry and cross my arms over my chest.
"Okay Mr.'I love to cook.' What are we making?" I ask, and he lifts his hands up.
"No worries. No heavy lifting for you, let the master cook." He motions to himself, and I raise my eyebrows.
"Excuse me? I can cook very well. I know it's hard for your ego to handle that fact, but I could kick your ass with my cooking." I tell him, knowing I'm right.
"Well I've got the power of science on my side, and a photographic memory as well... Meaning I've got plenty of recipes up here... What do you have on your side Sterling?" He asks, getting cocky.
"I'm a foodie.. Meaning I love food, and recipes and cooking. I'm the family cook. I'm the master chef. I've got experience, and I've got love in my cooking. Beat that." I raise my eyebrows.
"Oh I will." He confirms, and I furrow my brows.
"Are you challenging me to a cook off?" I ask, and he nods his head.
