I walked out of the dome schoolhouse into the Tatooine suns. Kids were dismissed for the day.

Up ahead of me was a couple other girls, one was putting something in her backpack, and dropped a book into the sand in the process.

Being the only one around who noticed, I walked forward and picked it up, dusting it off. When I tapped on the girl's shoulder, she turned with the nastiest glare she could muster.

"Yes?", she eyeballed me, I just held the book out.

"Um, this is yours", I answered as she took it and looked it over."You dropped it."

"OhmyGod, it speaks. Who would've thought", her friend hissed. I just ignored her as the girl took it.

Before I even had a chance to walk away, she knocked me down to the ground.

"Don"t worry about it", she smirked as well, putting it in back in her bag.

I sat up on my elbows and glared.

Before she walked away, she kicked some dirt at my face and flashed her eyes an eerie yellow before they returned to their normal hateful blue ones.

My mouth fell open slightly as my eyebrows knitted together. She glared and began walking after her friend.

Pulling myself off the ground, I stood up and dusted the dirt away. I glared daggers after them.

That was'nt the first or last time I ran into her.

"Rudeness is the weak person's imitation of strength", I mumbled, readjusting my back pack on my shoulder."And you might just be the reason we use the middle finger."

Little 8-year-old me turned away and walked into the crowd of other people that rushed to get home.

Tatooine was a desert planet, covered in dirt and sand, where the two suns pass over and everything is ruled by the Hutt gangsters.

The sandstorms here were awful, and were lucky if Tusken's don't come bother us.

All types of settlers and Jawas live here with their strange livestock,  and  people selling things on the side of the alley's just to make it by.

I feel for them all, as my family was'nt in the greatest spot either.

Pushing my dark hair behind my ear, I sighed.

Upon reaching the middle of the city where the well was located,  I grabbed my water bucket I hid in the bushes this morning on the way to school.

Other people were standing there, getting water as well, so I took some time to brush my dress full of dirt off.

That girl's eye were now burned into my mental image forever now.

How was she able to do that??

The only time I ever mentioned seeing something like that to my dad, the only thing he responded with was , "they are different than us."

Whatever that meant, it made me curious.

My Dad works as a Rebel space Pilot, and mechanic for the Galactic Empire- so it's safe to say he knew some things.

We moved here when I was just a little kid, and we've had nothing but tough luck making money on side jobs. I even had to pick up a job here and there to make rent.

He taught me a few things about our XJ-6 Speeder and swoop bikes, the stuff I could easily understand.

My Mom worked at the small grocery store we have here until she got sick.
