Chapter 6

~Previously on Chapter 5~

"Has anyone seen Jake?" Hailey asked

Everyone said no

"Let's just start without him"

It was awkward practicing without Jake, it just felt wrong.

Jake didn't show up during practice

"WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS" Zander yelled

"Zander, just calm down." Luke said

"HOW CAN I THAT IDIOT SKIPPED PRACTICE"

Zander walked up to the door

"I'm going to give him a piece of my mind" Zander said walking out the door

"Zander wait." Luke said following him

"Zander maybe we should just go back" Luke said

"No, I'm not leaving till I find him!" Zander said

"You might just make him feel worse than right now"

"Doesn't mean he can just skip band practice"

Zander and Luke kept walking around and searching for Jake

"Maybe we should just go back to the club" Luke said

"Fine..." Zander said

"Did you find him?" Milly asked

"No, Luke said we should just come back" Zander said

"Well what should we do, it doesn't seem right to practice without Jake."

"We can't really do anything, beside just do nothing"

~At Lunch~

"I'm going to look for Jake" Hailey said as she got up from her seat

"Good luck then" Zander said

Hailey threw away her trash and walked out of the lunch room

Where could he be Hailey thought

Finally she found him leaning against his locker, listening to music

"Jake!" Hailey said as she walked over to him

Jake took off his headphones and saw Hailey walking over, as he was about to run off again, Hailey grabbed his arm

"You can't keep running away from me, just please talk to me" Hailey said with a trembling sound in her voice (I don't know if  I used that right, correct me if I didn't)

"I said it once and I'll say it again, leave me alone" Jake said

RING RING

Jake yanked his arm free and walked to class

Hailey was left there hurt and confused
