"Oh, well um..." My face heated up. I'd never been asked for...dinner.
"Actually she can't," Raya peeked back in the door "We're going shopping."
Jessie nodded and turned away, leaving me standing in my room.
"Well that was awkward." Raya called from the kitchen once the front door was closed. I left the white walled room and went for the couch.
"What exactly are we going shopping for?" I asked, eyeing her as she danced around the small room. She flung herself next to me and jutted her hand out.
"He asked." Her grin was ear to ear. She had a simple gold band that wrapped around her finger twice, I plastered a smile on my face. I was happy for my roommate but the dream had my dream low. I wanted to hide away in my room and not come out for a few days.
"Let's eat and then shop!"

"Hurry up! You need to get ready or you'll be late for your dinner." I yelled out behind me, shoving the door to our apartment open. Raya shoved past me, tossing her bags down. We'd been shopping for new clothes and things for my room. Raya managed to get things for her future home and since he was born Escaped, she'd be moving to the third level.
"Where's that strapless dress? I want to show off my spiders during dinner."
"In the green bag you were holding." I collapsed on the couch, it had been a long day and my back was sore from yesterdays blackout.
"How's this look?" Raya walked out of her room wearing a short blue and white dress with a sweetheart neckline, showing her spiders perfectly.
"Stunning."I smiled. She giggled in response and headed out the door with a small wave. Going through my shopping bags, I pulled out everything I bought to decorate with.
After a few hours, my room was nearly finished. The port near the front door began to ring. Quickly jumping from my bed, I wondered who would be ringing the apartment.
"Hello?"
"WYN! DADDY! WYN!" Eddy stood in front of the port, pointing.
"Eddy? What are you doing over here?" Dimitri's voice came from another room. I just stared at the little girl, Dimitri walked into the port view. "Eddy, how did you get her port number?" He rushed to her side and took the mini port from her hands. "Sorry Gwyneth. Caladean probably called Raya the other day."
"It's fine. Not like I was doing anything anyway. Raya left a few hours ago."
"Cun we fee Wyn?" Eddy's head bobbed into the corner of the port.
"Eddy get off the bed." Dimitri looked down at his daughter.
"You guys can come over," I said quickly. Eddy squeaked and Dimitri started mumbling ", but only if you want too."
"We'll be over in a bit. You've got Eddy all excited and telling no at this point would end in disaster." He smiled and then cut his port off.
"Crap!" I began cleaning up the mess of bags and thrown about clothing from the floors. I would probably the to keep them away from the kitchen, Raya didn't clean up after breakfast this morning.
Twenty minutes later the frint door swung open and Eddy ran in screaming with joy, followed by a distressed looking Dimitri.
"Eddy, how many times have I told you to knock first?"

The next few weeks were anything but calm. Raya was in a mad dash to get the wedding set up. It was going to be in the spring, which was only a few short months away, but it all had to before Benny's twenith birthday. As was the tradition, all males whether they be born Escaped or not will leave home for one year in the training to protect their cities after the twentieth year of birth.
