"Do you need any help, ma'am?"
"No thank you." I past the man standing in the mouth of an alleyway. He was taller, most everyone was though.
"Are you sure Gwyn?" I stopped in my tracks. He called me by my real name ",Terrible sorry. You go by Wyn now don't you?"
"How do you know that name?" I turned back to him ",tell me." He stepped out of the shadows.
"You don't remember me do you?" I stayed silent, waiting for him to answer my question ",Understandable why you don't. We were never really friends in Suden Academy. You were barely there a year before you moved. But you're famous in the Escaped cities now."
"What are you talking about?" A week, it had only been a week back in the Providences and already someone had already figured out who I was.
"Right, you're under cover," He stepped closer to me and smiled ",so am I, don't worry. I'm not going to blow either of our covers. Come on, I'll walk you home." He wrapping his arm around my own and tugged me around "My name's Howl."
"Howl?"
"I chose it when I Escaped. My cover name's Harry though so call me that for now." He chuckled
"Why that name? Howl I mean."
"My Tattoo-er well Tattoos. Their mirrored so it's exactly the same one. Both my parents were Others." Howl smiled down at me and we began walking.
"Both of them? Really?"
"Yeah, it's not often that two Others get together but people like me are the out come when they do."
"Ah." I paused, contemplating my question ",What did you mean when you said I was famous in the cities?"
"Oh that. Well you are, you're the granddaughter of a known Demon and a once loved and praised Angel. You also have one of the ultimate Tattoos. Only three of you are alive, one bat, one bug and one bird."
"What? A bug?" Did he really just say a bug?
"Yeah her name's Kimi. She likes to stay to herself, she's from my city."
"What do her wings look like?" He had genially interested me, I hadn't heard much of the other winged person. Just that there was another like me and Dimitri.
"Like a dragonfly, at least that's what they say. She never showed her Tattoos, doesn't use them either." We reached the back gate to my house, it was almost six.
"Wow. Thanks for walking me home How-Harry," I smiled at him ",you wanna come in for dinner? My husband won't be home for a few hours so it's just me and Eddy."
"Mariah is probably just getting home and I haven't got dinner even thought up yet. You don't mind?"
"The more the merrier. Come on in, you can ring her from our port." Opening the gate, we headed into the house. The front door closing just as we opened the back door.
"Wyn! I'm home!" Eddy came running into the kitchen. I set the bag of groceries on the counter.
"Hey, this is Harry. He lives in the neighborhood." I looked at him for confirmation on that.
"I actually live about three houses down. You don't have any files on my family because we're Escaped as well." Eddy's eyes lit up.
"He's Escaped?" She jumped onto one of the bar stools and waited for her water. I quickly fixed her glass and set in on the bar for her.
"Yes but you can't tell anyone cause we're from Norden not a city, understand? Harry the port is on the other side of the wall." I pointed to the arch leading into the kitchen and fixed my own glass of water.
