"Mom, please! Let me go to Siargao with my friends for the whole summer. I'll cover the expenses!"
Nasa dining table kami ngayon, eating our breakfast. I was trying to convince my mom to allow me to go Siargao this summer as a graduation gift. Ever since we were in junior high school, my friends and I already planned this trip. We promised each other that we'll make it possible since magkakahiwa-hiwalay na kami during college.
"I promise that I'll be a good girl! I will beha—" Before I could even finish what I was saying, she took off her glasses and looked at me. I smiled when I recognized the look on her face. I knew it!
"Okay. I'll allow you go to Siargao but pag-uwi mo dito, wala ka nang matitirahan." She laughed and pointed at my face.
"Mommy naman eh!" I whined as I watched her sip on her morning coffee.
"Oo na! Don't take too long there, me and your dad will miss you." I got up from my seat and gave her a tight hug. She scolded me and I just gave her the peace sign.
"Thank you, My! Love you!" I kissed her on the cheek.
"Sino kasama mo? Enough ba 'yang pera mo for 2 months? Nagpaalam ka na ba sa Daddy mo?" She asked continuously. I sat down and answered all of her questions.
"Javier, Rafael, Luciana, and Selene. Yes, I've been saving up for it ever since I was a junior. And dad told me that he's okay with it as long as payagan mo ako."
"Kailan flight niyo?" I stopped in my tracks when mom asked another question. Napamura ako sa aking utak at dahan-dahang nilingon siya.
"Uh... Mamayang 12?" I carefully answered. She almost choked on her coffee kaya dali-dali ko siyang inabutan ng tubig. After she drank the water, kinurot niya ako sa aking tagiliran, "At talagang ngayon ka pa nagpaalam! Mamaya na pala flight niyo!" She shouted.
"Love you ulit, Mom. I need to take a shower na talaga!" I ran as fast as I could to my room before she could even lecture me. I sat down on the edge of my bed and I immediately called my friends.
After a few rings, they finally answered my call. "Guess what?" I smiled at them, halatang kakagising lang siguro ni Javier dahil sobrang haggard ng itsura niya.
Javier complained.
She was currently eating breakfast habang nagca-call kami.
"See you later guys!" I ended the call at pumasok na ako sa bathroom. I took a shower and did my morning routine. I decided to wear an army green chiffon sleeveless top and paired it with white skinny jeans. I just let my wavy brown hair down. I accessorized a bit para hindi masyadong bland ang outfit ko.
