"Prongs! What in Merlin's beard am I seeing? You and Lily flower got together? And you failed to take my blessing before you did ? " Sirius asked sarcastically as he nudged James with his elbow.

"We all knew they would get together eventually " added Marlene as she eyed a blushing Lily.

Earlier this morning Lily woke up, much to her surprise and content in James's arms.

They walked in to the Great Hall holding hands, as teachers and students alike were dumbstruck.

Sirius plastered a goofy grin on his face, as Lupin eyed them rather joyfully.

Alice and Marlene shrieked with joy and hugged Lily.

Marlene on the other hand, walked up to James to warn him, "As much as I know you James, I still warn you - Hurt our Lily, and you wont live to the end of it" .

"Mar I would neve-", Marlene cut his argument short and hugged him.

The group piled out of the Hall in high spirits and made their way to Transfiguration.

They walked in and Lily took her place, between James and Sirius. Their Transfiguration was spent whiling away and writing notes on Animagi.

Except at the end of the class, as Lily and James approached McGonagall  to discuss about detention they had given a few Ravenclaws for roaming the corridors past curfew McGonagall seemed rather ignorant of this and murmured something about how she had lost five galleons to Albus.

"You cost me Five galleons Potter" she said, as she walked out. James and Lily both looked quite amazed at the fact that their headmaster and deputy headmistress had bet on them and their relationship.

Lily gave James a small peck and left for History of Magic while James left for Divinition.

They met again in their Dorm. Lily was sitting on the couch studying, as James returned exhausted from Quidditch practice and fell onto the couch, plopping his head onto Lily's lap.

She planted a kiss on his lips and continued reading, ruffling his hair.

James on the other hand, looked at Lily, who was very intent on reading the book.

"Hey Lils".

Hmm"

"Well I was wondering about yesterday. Er- was that - um - my shirt-"

"I was holding ? Yes. I was devastated at the fact that you had gone through torture, all for me, and took to your shirt for comfort".

James smiled at her innocence, sitting up, "Well it was for you, so it was worth it" he replied, as he made his way towards his room for a shower.

She smiled at him and left him to do his chores.

They left the dorm at Ten in the night, for their weekly patrol.

They walked the corridors of the castle, holding hands and made their way to the Astronomy Tower.

That was where couples came, to spend time. They stormed in, only to find dear Sirius, but not with some random girl, bur Marlene Mckinnons.

"Mar"

"Sirius"

Shouted Lily and James together, not able to believe their eyes.

"What were you to up to ? Snogging?" James asked, half disgusted at having to find his best friend and almost sister making out in the astronomy tower.

"What did you expect us to do here then ? Star gaze" countered Sirius.

They glared at each other for a moment and burst out laughing.
