"That was tiring!" said Lily, and plopped down on the couch in the Heads Dorm, looking at James, hoping he would join her.

Hoping they would cuddle in together and spend some time away from studies and their friends who awweed every chance they got.

James caught her gazing longingly at him, and his expression turned to regret, "Oh sorry babe! I got Quidditch practice. Match is this Sunday" he explained, rushing out the portrait hole, fully dressed in his Quidditch robes.

Lily looked at him leave and with a sigh decided to finish her essay on Transfiguration for McGonagall.

Hours later, she let out a loud groan as she finished her surprisingly complicated essay. "Someone looks relieved", came a voice from behind her.

She turned around recognising the voice.

"Sirius. Heyyyy" she greeted. "M

"What are you doing in hear?" she asked. No one knew the password to their dorm.

"Oh yeah. About that. I kinda sneaked up on both of you last night and heard the password by mistake." he explained. Lily shook her head in response.

"Well... what do you need, James is at Quidditch practice".

"I know. I'm in the team too remember. Actually- er- I need to talk to you - about - um Marlene".

Marlene and Sirius were spending quite a lot of time with each other the past few weeks.

James and Lily occasionally caught them doing stuff she rather not think about now, in the Astronomy Tower.

"What about her?" she asked.

"Well, I was hoping if you could tell me if she - you know- um- ",

"Likes you?" Lily finished for a now profusely blushing Sirius.

"Yeah" he accepted.

"Well, she does look happy after you both got close. And she doesn't seem to not like you. So whatever you have in mind, I think you should go for it".

"Oh, Thank Merlin"exclaimed Sirius, pulling Lily into a rib breaking hug.

Lily hugged him back and patted him on the back awkwardly.

She saw Sirius jumping up and down as he left the dorm. Lily made a mental note to ask Marlene about what happened tomorrow.

She shook her head and walked to the kitchen, tying her hair up into a bun and started cooking.

"Ah, Pizza!" said James, as he walked in, his robes dirty with mud and his face sweaty and tired.

"Freshen up! I'm hungry!" hollered Lily from the kitchen.

Within minutes James was walking down the staircase, water still dripping from his hair. He saw Lily setting the small table in their kitchen, walked up to her and gave her a kiss.

She kissed him back. She pulled away after a minute, looked into his hazel eyes, her eyes dancing with joy, and ruffled his still wet hair.

James smiled at her, taking his place and helping himself to the Pizza.

James and Lily made it a point that they had dinner together every Friday.

"Easter's around the corner." James pointed out.

"Yeah" agreed Lily, looking at him, as to why he had introduced the topic.

"I was hoping you'd - you know - um- meet my parents over the holidays?" he asked, nervousness etched all over his face.
