"Home! At last." exhaled Lily as she walked in to their dorm after their adventure to Potter Manor. Their vacation had ended and James had to go do head boy duties. Lily wanted to go with him too, but he wouldn't let her. "You can't! You need to rest" his voice echoed over and over again. "What're you thinking about?". Her thoughts were interrupted by Sirius. "Uh- nothing" she said before heading to the kitchen to make coffee. Sirius was blabbering on and on about Remus and some girl who was eyeing him on the train. "You want coffee?" she asked. "Yes" he said, before continuing with his very amusing story. They talked for two hours until Sirius remembered that Remus was too sloppy around girls and he needed to help him get through this girls phase in his life. Lily shook her head smiling as she watched Sirius head out. She sighed and picked up a book from James's desk. It was a transfiguration book. "Of course it's transfiguration" she muttered before lying down on the couch, stretching her legs.

"Oh Evans, you are a sight for sore eyes" exclaimed James who walked in, running his fingers through his messy black hair. "Thanks" Lily smiled looking at her boyfriend who was hanging his coat on the stand. He slumped his shoulders as he walked up to the couch, lifting her legs up, sitting down and replacing her legs on his lap. "So how was head duty?" she asked, putting the book aside. "Horrible. It would have been much better with you though" he smiled, squeezing her legs gently. She gave him a smile, before her stomach let out a loud growl. James looked at his hungry girlfriend, and got up planting a kiss on her lips. "I'll make dinner. Ten minutes" . And sure enough ten minutes later James was handing a plate heaped with pasta. She took it gratefully before pulling her boyfriend down on the couch and they sat down to eat in peace.

"That was great" said Lily to a beaming James. Lily took James's plate and she headed to the kitchen. Five minutes later she walked back and headed up to her room. James looked at her walk up before he walked to his room. The minute he entered his room and walked up to his closet, he heard her. "James" she whispered. "Hmmm". "I don't have anything to wear for the night" she said. James turned around immediately an amused expression facing her shy one. "You. Lily Evans don't have anything.", she shook her head. "Lils, I've seen a closet full of pajamas" he explained. "Yeah but nothing as comfortable as the ones I've been wearing recently. Kinda got used to them " she shrugged, her cheeks turning red. A feeling of understanding passed through James and the within seconds he handed her his sky blue shirt. "Thanks" she beamed as she pecked him on the cheek and went to the washroom to change. Minutes later they were in bed, cuddling as close as possible to provide as much warmth as they could to each other. "It's going to snow a lot tomorrow" he whispered as he kissed her head. "Lils?". "Never mind" he said, as he realised that she had drifted asleep. He gazed at her beautiful face before sleep came over him and he too closed his eyes, pulling her even closer.

"Hey, we're late". Lily's voice filled his ears. He slowly opened his eyes to find a fully dressed Lily leaning over him. "Good morning" she whispered, as he rubbed his eyes sleepily. James smiled before pulling her down. She landed on top of him, her eyes levelled with his. "Good morning" he whispered back. "James Potter you are getting me late" she said, pulling herself up. She ruffled his hair before leaving the room and hollered, "Coffee's on the table". He yawned sleepily as he heard the portrait close behind Lily. He yawned for one last time before he remembered that he too had class. He got up, got dressed headed down to find piping hot coffee on the table. He drank the coffee and hurried out cursing under his breath. He had charms and he was late

"Your essays on my desk next Monday everyone" Flitwick called out to all those children walking out not paying attention to a single word that came out of his mouth. James, Sirius, Remus and Peter walked out chuckling together about Remus's failed attempt and asking the girl out. "You asked her if she eats?" said James, in between laughter. "If she eats food" corrected Sirius who was now rolling on the ground. Remus was as red as a tomato and he kicked Sirius and pushed James before rushing off to his next class. James helped Sirius up, when he felt a tap on the shoulder. He turned around to find Bellatrix, of all people. "Sister" sneered Sirius. "Your filthy little mudblood girlfriend" she said, ignoring Sirius, "Is out there with the rest of my friends ready for a snow fight". Sirius looked at her with disgust and averted his sight to James whose expression was nothing less then fierce anger, but Sirius knew him too well to understand that he was really scared. "Yeah! My girls stronger then you think she is" said James. "Yep... she is my girl after all" said Sirius. Bellatrix looked shocked as to why both of them were addressing her as their girl. But Sirius and James shared an amused glance. Lily addressed all the Marauders as her boys and they address her as their girl. Both of them looked at her, ready to pounce upon her any chance they get, but Bellatrix was smart enough to flee the scene before it turned too violent.
