Holidays are to make memories.

School has been closed for almost a week now due to ongoing preparations for Celia's national festival. All of Celia was in a festive mood. Everywhere people were dancing and enjoying the holidays. On the day of the festival the palace held an annual ball whose preparations were in full swing.

I, Archer, Mom, Dad, Jenna and Alexius had to take lessons in ball room dancing. I did not understand the purpose behind all of us having to take them but still went along with it and it turned out to be enormous fun.

The king and the two princes got tired of the instructors directing them around and broke into break dance or just randomly started flapping their arms and legs around to show their reluctance to comply to everything the teachers said. In the end the class was dismissed.

When I, mom and Jenna are asked to taste all the dishes finalised for the party we almost make the cook pull his hair out. Every dish he puts in front of us we pointed out some mistake in and in the end still end up going for the first option.

Seeing all the raucous the Royal family is creating during the preparations my maids simply refused to run the idea of my dress for the ball past me. They said it was a surprise but I knew they just didn't want trouble.

Jenna and I face called our friends back home and Sarah and Anna frequently.

During the holidays I've been in touch with all of them. Gabe and Sarah have finally gotten together after my and Jenna's ingenious tricks. They went on a little date the day we went paint balling and soon after Gabe asked her to be his girlfriend.

Ace is a different story all together. He still texts me foolish pick up lines and makes an idiot out of himself just to make me laugh over calls but I have been too busy to meet up with any of them. He told me about Rose. A new girl in his locality who'd be going to our school with whom he's been spending a lot of time.

Speaking of the devil..My phone rings a few hours before the ball and who else would it be but Ace Adams. It's a video call and he looks ridiculous.

He's already wearing his dress shirt but he's still in shorts. His phone is placed in such a way that I can see the two ties he's holding in his hands.

"So?" is the first thing he says.

"The blue one." I reply with.

"Eh, I think I like the red one better." He says thoughtfully.

"Why the hell did you ask me then?" I roll my eyes.

"Second opinion." Ace replies casually, smiling through his blue eyes.

"Why didn't you ask Rose?" I smirk teasingly.

"You know what? Maybe I should. Yeah, I'll do that." He wriggles his eyebrows and nods unconvincingly. We laugh a little, then my maids arrive to dress me up, so we say our see you soon's.

As expected their choice doesn't disappoint me, on the big day they dress me in a gorgeous peach gown. It takes them an hour to get me ready.

Archer is going to be my escort since this time Alexius will be Jenn's. When he reaches my room I am already waiting for him at the door.

He looks like a Greek god in his crisp blue tuxedo. It fits him perfectly leaving nothing to imagination about his well built body due to years of workout. He has shaved and the smell of his cologne makes me weak to my knees.

"I see the princess not only manages to look fabulous given the opportunity, but also manages to be on time. I'm quite impressed." Archer says while his gorgeous green eyes light up.
