19. Carnival

After freshening up Alexius, Jenna and I leave for the carnival. We meet Sarah, Gabe, Anna, Stanley and Ace beside the kissing booth.
Jenna and I hold Sarah while Ace and Alexius take Gabe and then we push them both towards the booth quite forcefully and run away from them towards the candy stand. We know that this obviously didn't make them go in but the combo of blushes and angry looks on their faces still made it worthwhile. After they get tired of chasing us around like little children, all of us have cotton candy.

We tell the man to make as much cotton candy as he'd make for 6-7 people but to put all of it on a single stick. All of us then stand in a circle and try to take as much as we could.
We get on different kinds of rides. I loose count of how many we went on. It could have been 5 or 15. We have to stop when after one of the rides Sarah goes over to the nearest bin, bends and starts vomiting. Gabe goes after her. He tucks her hair behind her head and rubs her back soothingly. I turn to Jenna. She has the same goofy smile I do.

After they come over and everybody makes sure she is fine I say, "Hey Sarah, maybe you should go and have a chocolate pastry or something. Why don't you take her, Gabe? After all chocolate is the solution to everything. And take as much time as you want. Chocolate must be savoured not rushed." I continue coyly.

"Sure. Come on, Sarah." Gabe replies, still looking very worried.
As they walk away I give Sarah a wink and she replies with a small shy smile, her mouth briefly forming the words 'thank you'.

"I want to go on the ferris wheel next." Anna says after Gabe and Sarah leave.

"You and Stanley go on the ferris wheel. You haven't had a single moment alone, the whole day. We wouldn't want to interrupt." I reply.

"Yes, the last time I was on that ride with you two I had to sit awkwardly looking out the window while you two ate each others faces off in front of me. Yikes, I'm never doing that again." Ace makes a very grossed out face while remembering the situation.

"Shut up, A. We don't want to leave you guys alone. You can come too." Stanley states but he doesn't sound very convincing.

"Yes, boy we can but we don't want to. I know what I want to do. I want to win a soft toy at the games stall so ta ta to you two love birds. Enjoy!" I grab Jenna and Ace's hands and drag them along almost skipping in my excitement to reach the game stalls.

Alexius had to leave early due to some important business meeting which I honestly didn't care about at the moment. Today I just want to be a normal teenager again.

On reaching there I turn to Ace, "Win me the penguin. Its sooo cute. I wanna a penguin. Gimme, gimme, give me!"

"Why do I have to win you a penguin. Why are you saying wanna? Are you a 6 year old? Seriously?" Ace says acting all confused but I know he is very amused by my excitement. I give him a pouty face I know he won't be able to resist but he just continues to give me a ridiculous smile and shakes his head at my antics.

"Don't worry, princess. If he won't, then I'll win you the penguin." A voice behind me says.

"Archer??" I inquire while I turn around and am quite shocked to see him standing before me. We've talking over calls for a month now and I'd recognise that rich sultry voice anywhere.

"We meet again. A pleasure as always, your Highness." He comes forward and kisses my knuckles. His mesmerising green eyes sparkling and his wind swept wavy hair smooth and lustrous.

"What are you doing here!?" This is so not happening right now. Like what the hell..But why I am not as disappointed to see him as I should have been? Wait..why should I have been disappointed? He's my friend after all that's why I'm happy.
