Garby

        I looked up to face the man but the he hugged me closely not giving me a chance to look at him.

"Garby!!"

Thump!

I snapped my eyes open as I rubbed my elbow which had hit the ground.

"Garby! Get up!!", my mom shouted from downstairs.

Wai-

What happened?

I looked at my alarm clock, 10 a.m, holy shit!

I got up and ran to the washroom sending a "I'm up!" to my mom.

I got into the shower, brushed my teeth and changed into a purple turtleneck with shorts on.

I know right I dress weird.

Turtleneck with shorts?

I ran my fingers through my extremely tangled hair as I looked at my tired face in the mirror.

I grabbed some sandwich and returned to my room , securely locking the door so that someone would not disturb my so called study time.

             It was Sunday and weirdly enough I had a test tomorrow morning. I'm not a school kid but my mom forced me to take this Biology test up that she found somewhere on the internet ,I love my mom so it was obvious I was gonna do it no matter even if I failed the test.

           I fixed my specs on my nose and opened up my Instagram, just to check out my stuff.

  28 dms, 8 followers , 187 likes and 34 comments anddd 2 tags and finally 23 shares.

    I smiled, good thing I had muted my Instagram.

I scrolled around abit added a simple story showing my sandwich away and yeah that covers it up!

      My mind flickered back to the test as I started reciting the answers in my head vainly trying to remember them. Yes ,I was very concentrated as I'm one of those guys that do everything in time and don't like leaving work halfway. My eyes peeked at the screen in front of me a million times but each time atleast I understood the meaning of Ascent of Sap.

   My phone vibrated on my pillow while I frowned not at all glad that my work was disturbed. I picked it up to see Sukie calling me.

"Yea Miss. Roodie?", I said instantly making up a nickname to tease her.

"You know you suck at names right?",she chuckled not that she was wrong actually.

"Maybe no?", I said leaning on my chair.

"Haha! Funny", she said sarcastically.

I chuckled lightly, "What do you want Sukie?".

"Nothing actually, I'm just hella bored."

"I'm studying right now so yeah", I replied, "maybe later?"

"Fine", she mumbled, "I gotta do some babysitting."

We said our goodbyes and then I diverted back to my work but one thought kept bothering me.

The dream...

I was very sure it was just a dream but something made it feel real. Maybe I've started to lose my mind but I swear I could still feel the warmth, the feeling of those hands on me, the voice and...

The kiss...

I felt my cheeks turning red as I tried to hide it away, gosh I was going crazy. The voice was familiar but whose was it? These thoughts never left my mind and it took me three hours to remember the whole thing for my test which I was sure I was gonna fail.

"Garby!!", my mok knocked.

I jumped up and opened the door to find her already heading downstairs. She might have heard me open the door as she called out loudly, "Someone has come to visit you!"

Visit me? A visitor?

I got back inside my room not bothering to ask anymore questions because no one visited me except my friends and they were pretty formal to come into my room without permission.

        I laid down on my bed thinking about the dream again.

The lips... I could still feel them on mine...

The door creaked right then and I straightened up to see her enter...

Ruth...

Her wavy blonde hair tied up in a bun, her pale fair skin glowing like always as her lips curled up in a smile her blue eyes twinkling. Her red polka dotted up shoulder dress was suiting her slim figure perfectly.

   That was Ruth, the girl I had a crush on for six solid years, the girl that was too popular to notice a nerd who was secretly a youtuber, that was the kind high school crush of mine, the one I had been beaten up by the bad boys for talking to her, the girl who tutored me in History, the teacher's pet, the perfect girl for me. The girl I had asked out for prom. That she had accepted, she was my first ever girlfriend, the one who cared for me, the one who loved me, but also the one who called it off.

  That was Ruth...
