I ran quickly back to the group I texted Jack cause right now he was the only one that even knew what was going on with me. I heard his phone buzz as he took it out of his pocket, his expression changed just slightly. As he typed back he didn't change his expression, probably to keep from suspicion. Then my phone buzzed, I pulled it out to see what it said but then I felt a tap on the shoulder it was Liam and Maurice. I took a small step back. "Hey what are you guy's doing here?" I asked as normaly as I could, I looked behind me to see what everyone else's expression was, and to my surprise Tanner looked white as a ghost.
"Oh my god, Hannah? Is that you?" He asked Maurice.
"I'm sorry, what is going on?" Carrie asked.
"Nothing!" Tanner and I answered in unison, I looked at Tanner he looked at me.
"Suuuuuurrrreee. I'm going to go stand over there, com'on Jack." Carrie said awkwardly, I looked at Jack he just gave me a pity face, "Sorry I can't help you." He seemed to say. I looked at him understandingly as he walked away.
"Tanner who is Hannah?"
"That's Hannah." He said gesturing to Maurice.
"No that's Maurice" I corrected.
"No that's not. Who is Maurice?"
"My best friend that stole Jayden from me."
"Ok, but that's Hannah, my ex." Tanner said, you could tell he was getting agitated. When he said ex I think a tiny ping of jealousy went off inside of me.
"Umm, excuse me I hope I'm not interrupting anything." Maurice said.
"Hannah, I thought you were dead, or at least that's what people said." Tanner said with a smile.
"So that's what I hear from my boyfriend." She said looking at Liam. I think that I was getting even more jealous.
"Do you guys want to go ride something." Liam said trying to detour this awkward moment.
"Sure." Tanner said obviously trying to too.
On our way over I fell back a little bit.
"I don't know what your trying to do but it's not going to work Maurice." I said with that same no games look in my eye that I gave to Jayden. Wait Jayden, did he break up with Maurice, or this some part of some sort of master plan he is working on? Nah Jayden wasn't that smart he was more of a dumb blonde.
"Just stay out of my way, this is not my plan it's his." she said looking over at a vendor. I tried to get a look at his face but the bush blocked my view right before I was able to get a good look at his face. I walked onto the ride acting like there was no problem at all, but of course Jack saw straight through me. "Want to switch spots on this ride?" He asked Tanner. "Why not." He shrugged taking his seat next to Carrie. "What happened?" He asked me. "See that girl back there?" I said he turned around. "Yea that's Hannah, what about her? Are you jealous?" He asked me with this grim smile on his face. "No! It's something way different than that." I exclaimed.
"Ok then what is it?"
"That's not Hannah, that's Maurice."
"Who?"
"She was my best friend but then she stole my boyfriend and I switched schools."
"Oh ok, then why does she look identical to Hannah?"
"Well she was adopted but the chances of Hannah being her twin are very slim."
"True."
"But I fell back and said that I didn't know what she was doing and that it wasn't going to work. Then she said that it wasn't her plan that it was his she gestured to the vendor but I didn't get a look at his face."
"Who do you think it was?"
"Well I thought it might have been Jayden but then I thought nah Jayden isn't smart enough to devise a  plan like this."
"People can deceive you Bailey, like I thought you were just some ditsy blonde girl."
"Wait, what?!"
"Nothing." Jack said as the ride started.
