Oh, I am so excited for this!

So, Book 1 is done, and obviously Book 2 is gonna tackle the next big arc—and if you don't know, read the manga online! (Although I did put a massive spoiler in the last chapter)

Regardless, Book 2 is where things really go wild with Alan! And to give you an idea, I got a little something...

It's far from perfect, but it works for what's intended. So when's it coming out? I started drafts about a week ago, and I'm planning on releasing the first chapter on October 10th! If all goes well, I may be able to update weekly. I'm not sure how long it'll end up, but I'm hoping to finish by maybe early-2021.

With that said, who's up for a preview?

He sighed, closing his eyes for a moment as he heard footsteps coming down, "Something's wrong with me..."

"Still muttering to yourself?"

He jolted, gaze to the floor as the air seemed to grow warm around him. It was a very familiar feeling, one he never forgot. It couldn't be, could it? There was only one person he knew— no, in the entire school who had that effect on him. He forced himself to raise his head, and look over in the direction of the voice.

There was no mistaking it, even before he looked over. The deer, as he always did, looked confident in his stance. Although something seemed somber about it, Alan noted. He was looking at him almost mockingly as if he hadn't disappeared one night with literally no one having a clue to where he went. Alan's jaw was open slightly, eyes wide as he tried to form a response.

"I-...y-you...", he stuttered out.

"I guess it has been a while...", the deer said as he glanced to the side.

"'A while?'", the human finally found his words, "You've been gone for, like, over a month! Everyone was worried about what happened to you. I mean, the Drama Club was probably worried more than anyone..."

It would be hard for Alan to think of Louis without also thinking of the Drama Club. The two went hand-in-hand if he were being honest, and the deer obviously had a lot of pride in being its leader. He always walked with an air of fulfillment, making him seem untouchable. The human had a lot of admiration for him and felt shell shocked to see him back after his disappearance.

"Coincidentally, I just got back from the Drama Club.", Louis said in a somewhat somber tone, "I gave Samou my resignation."

"What?!", he shouted a bit louder than he should've, "Why did you quit? No, more importantly: What happened to you? Where have you been? Why'd you suddenly up and disappear?!"

It sounded personal, he realized. No, it felt personal, like the deer had abandoned him. Sure, there were others—Todd, Legosi, and Riz being the quickest ones to mind, but Louis was different. Maybe it was because he always seemed like he could control everything. Maybe it was because of how he constantly felt above everyone and able to give them a sense of hope.

Other students always said they were similar...
