The only reason

Chapter 12

Luke

It's today. Today's the day, just as predicted I got a call.

"Hemmings." He scoffed

"Yes?" I spoke

"We meet today. I'll text you the address."

"Fine." I said ending the call.

To say that I was nervous was an understatement. Us four had to seperate because of the plan, and it's actually boring without them to be honest.

My phone buzzed, indicating that I've indeed received the text from him, and I quickly sent a text to the group message we had created when we made the plan. It was a simple 'Got it' and they replied with 'Okay's'. Other than that, I just hope this plan works.

I put on my watch, to tell the time. Already it was 5 and I went to the address. Which was not to far so I just had to take a long-ish walk. Arriving already at 5:30.

I open the door and before I did I quickly look around my surrounding. Just as predicted, I smile to myself. Taking a deep breath and going inside.

Once I was inside I heard a laugh, soon followed by a cry. I was silent enough to not be heard. And I'm almost shitting myself, I walk towards a door leading to the basement.

I heard another sream and soon followed by footsteps. I quickly hid and I heard his voice.

"Just face it already Kacey, no one's rescuing you. Not even your beloved Luke." He laughs evily, sending chills down my spine.

Oh gracious Lord, please help me.

I heard the footsteps go to another direction and I slowly, and surely stepped out of my hiding place. I opened the door and closed it again ever so gently and silently and decended downstairs silently.

((A/N: I may use silently alot))

Once I reach the bottom, I look at Kacey. Seeing that she's crying looking down on the floor.

"Kacey." I whisper-yelled

She looked up to me, she had alot of bruises but still she was so beautiful.

"Luke." She smiled

I put my hand up to my mouth and checked my watch again 6:30, we have more time. I can do this.

I hear more footsteps again as I curse silently and whispered to Kacey, "Don't look at me, and stay quiet." I warned she nodded and took a deep breath.

"I'm back." Her father spat

"What do you want from me?!" She spat back as he cupped her face in his hands.

"Simple, your money." He smirked

Her money? What?

"My money? What the hell are you talking about?" She asked confused.

He sighs bitterly, preparing to explain.

"Well obviously we're not your real parents. And you are aware of that, your mummy, she died in a car accident causing you to have amnesia in such a young age. Your dad run away entrusting you to us. Too bad though." He laughed before continouing "Anyways, your rich. You have talent, your next in line with your fathers business, I heard he's searching for you. Too bad ge wont find you though."

"Say bye." He said bringing a knife up, my eyes widen and attack him.

Enjecting the syringe that I had in my jean pocket, it will put him to sleep for a good 3 hours buying us time.

He cussed and collapsed on the floor, I took his knife and took the ropes off of Kacey and I hugged her immidiatly, giving her a pocket knife and my phone.

We were up the stairs when her father was chasing us, why didn't it work?!

"Kacey run! Now!" I spat at her, pushing her away. The police are probably here by now so I just have to stall.

Kacey

Once I got out a swarm of police was already outside, the three boys ran up to me hugging me tightly.

"Kacey are you okay?" Ashton asked me.

I shook my head "Luke's still in there! Get him out please!" I screamed to the police as they nodded and went inside.

Ashton escorted me to the ambulance for a check up, they cleaned my bruises and wounds and put bandages on them. I wasn't aware of my surroundings.

All I could think about was Luke, and if he's alright. I was panicking. I was having a attack again, I can't loose him. Not now.

I heard a large bang inside and more police went there for back up. I could see my father being hand cuffed and shoved in a police car, and I saw Luke.

No, It can't. I saw him, he was bleeding. I ran to him only to be taken away by the ambulance in a hurry. I fell to the ground, not knowing what to do, as Ashton and the rest dragged me inside a car, to the police station. All I want to do is see Luke.

Once the questions where finsihed, we went to the hospital. I went to the old lady at the desk and asked her where Luke was.

"Oh he's on floor 2, Room number 156." She said smiling at me

"Thank you." I replied begging to descend there only to be stopped by her again.

"What are you to him?" She asked

"I'm his, uhm. Bestfriend?" I stated more of a question actually.

I heard the boys snicker as the lady eyed me, I waved goodbye and ran to Luke's room. Finding him inside and almost dropping his phone when I saw his condition.

Tears stream down my face as I ran up to him, he was awake and I hugged him tightly careful not to hit his wounds there.

"Lucas, you..you idiot." I cried as he placed his hand on my back hugging me close too.

"Had to do it for you." He smiled as I kept crying.

"But you almost died. I can't live with that." I sniffled

"Why?" He asked as I heard the boys leaving the room for some privacy.

I grab a chair near by and sat beside his bed before answering.

"Because I just can't. I can't live without you Luke. I love you okay?" I blurted out as I saw a smile creep up his face out the corner of my eye.

He tilted my chin up to face him. His eyes looking so serious and showing love that he had for me.

"Kace. I know that you know this already but, I love you too. More than words can say, I want to be by your side always. And I would do anything for you." He says smiling, making me wipe my cheek stained face as I smiled.

"Come here." He says scootching a little bit to give me room on the small bed.

I do as told and layed down beside him, throwing the blanket over us. Our legs intertwined as he played with my hands.

"I love you." He said kissing my head making me turn to him smiling.

He leaned in further as I felt his lips on mine, softly and gently, in a passionate kiss.

We held hands after that and I giggled, really I don't know why. Maybe because I'm just happy.

"Go to sleep princess. I'll take you out some place when I get outta here." He smiled pressing a kiss to my lips as I hummed for a reply.

I felt his hand envelope me in a hug and after that I was blanked out already.

Well that was long-ish. I think, lol. Hopefully this made up for the last chapters that were boring. I swear it gets better starting from here, and I'll try to update often.
