Chapter 40: Dear Diary 4

~Yeji's P.O.V~ (Real Yeji)

~Flashback~

Dear diary, it's your Hwang girl, Yeji... I'm crying right now while writing this. The page is a bit wet but atleast it dried up fast. Now the reason I'm crying is because, I'm sick. I'm at a hospital right now here in Busan. What me and Jin feared the most came. The doctor said I have leukemia. It runs in our family and unfortunately, between the two of us, I got it. Oh, I have a visitor. I'll end this here. Goodbye.

~Third Person's P.O.V~ (May 25)

It's been months since Yeji is at the hospital. Her leukemia got worse as weeks went by. Yeonjun was worried on what could happen with her health. He sometimes doesn't go to work just to stay with Yeji. There were times where he got so depressed that he wished to have leukemia too. It's already late at night when the doctor came in.

"Goodevening." -Doctor

"Goodevening doc. How's Yeji?" -Yeonjun

*Sigh*"She's just getting worse. I'm sorry." -Doctor

"Is there any way to help her condition?" -Yeonjun

"Well, how is she doing?" -Doctor

"She's just sleeping the whole day. She can't talk and eat properly. And... She's also losing weight." -Yeonjun

"Those signs are very hard to deal with. Her condition is really at the worse. I'm sorry again." -Doctor

"I-I see..." -Yeonjun

The doctor left and Yeonjun sat down at his seat. He was let down by his hope of his girlfriend recovering from her illness. His fear might actually happen anytime soon. And he needs comfort from his friends. So he face timed Soobin and Beomgyu who are still at school studying for their final exams.

"Hyung! You called!" -Beomgyu

"Yeah, I just need someone to talk to." -Yeonjun

"How's Yeji?" -Soobin

"Her condition is getting worse. Guys, I'm scared." *sniffle* -Yeonjun

The younger two just watched their hyung cry on their phone. They wanna hug him but they can't. They're at Seoul while he's at Busan. If they could only cancel their upcoming test, then they would've done it in the first place.

"Yeonjun hyung, we're sorry we can't come." -Soobin

"It's alright. Focus on your exams. Mostly you Soobin. You're a graduating student. Just like Yeji..." *sniffle* -Yeonjun

"Hyung, how 'bout you call Hyunjin and Lia to come there." -Beomgyu

"Yah! Where's your respect??" -Soobin

"Shh!" -Librarian

"Oops, sorry." *bow* -Soobin

"Are you at the library?" -Yeonjun

"Yup. Why don't you call them hyung?" -Beomgyu
