Going to school felt more lonely, making your way into the library in the back where no one came into. It seemed more and more people didn't study, grabbing a book from the shelf at random you sat in a corner where no one would see you. Shuffling through the pages the word "soulmates" coming into your head, of course he'd said like soulmates, but it was odd. Soulmates only exist in fairytales, where there's monsters and a hero prepared to save a princess. You didn't need saving. You weren't even from around here how would you be made for each other if the only reason you came here stemmed form tragedy? What a sick story that would be, becoming an orphan to find your soulmate...a wolf.

Closing the book and your eyes a heavy sigh came from between your lips, pushing the book back into the space and frowned. Picking up the backpack you made your way out of the library, how could you possibly be connected to him and what did he mean by being human- oh no... That wasn't possibly what he meant right? Stopping in the middle of the hallway your heart began to race, no he couldn't be... they- it's not right, is it? If he was a human and a wolf? Was he a werewolf? A shapeshifter?  Taking in the information, time didn't stop or halt, the bell rang as people shoved past you. Your mind racing with every passing thought, getting into your car you ran into the drivers seat, turning the engine over you took in deep breaths. If werewolves were real... what else was? Who else is one? Obviously, there was more than one from what you heard in the woods.

"What the hell did I get myself into?" Your eyes watered as you turned the radio on, ironically the station was playing 'Werewolves of London' a loud laugh came from you as the lead singer howled. Leaving the campus after lunch was something you'd never think of, but lately nothing was what you thought it was. Parking at the trail you first visited when you arrived to Forks, you adjusted the turtle neck and pulled a jacket from the backseat. Climbing out of the car you pulled the jacket on, hopefully it would make up for the tights and skirt you were wearing. As you began to walk along the trail you paused, you didn't have a flashlight. Not now at least, it was in the trunk. Or at least should be. Turning around you faced the path back and jogged to pull a flashlight out from the trunk, flicking it on to check for batteries you relaxed that it had worked. Looking into the trunk you pulled out a bat, it wouldn't protect you much but, it would halt someone as you ran away.

You put your hand into your pocket and fit the flashlight into it as best as you could. Feeling a bit more confident you closed the trunk and began to make your way back into the pathway. You   weren't sure what you were looking for, whether it was answers or tracks. Your feet stopped walking when you made it to the opening where you first saw him, any evidence must of been wiped away from snow or anyone else that ventured into here. Picking up the bat to rest against your shoulder, you made your way into the trees. If you can find something, any evidence that you weren't crazy, that could be enough. Enough to believe, enough to try and understand. Maybe there was a reason he couldn't trust you, a non-you reason. If werewolves were real then there must be those who hunt them down...it's only plausible. When you thought of that you felt your blood run cold, only it made you halt. You felt a comforting warmth when next to him, Jacob... is it possible that someone nearby made you feel this cold?

'Edward', Your thoughts called to you, but he and his family had left since then disappearing. Your sister had talked to you about how Dr.Cullen had picked an interim chief of staff before he left the hospital. It was odd, you did get cold around him too, but that could've been due to the AC and the coldness of the hospital not only that you were still in shock from the ringing in your head. A sudden shuffle was heard in the trees you jumped in alert raising the bat prepared to swing.

"That won't hurt me." A voice calls from behind you...a female voice, out loud.

"Well, it'll stop you." You growled back.
