Two days passed, you moved back into the house, Jacob had helped you reinstall an unbreakable glass provided by the Cullens.

"Jacob?" You called as you look out the window where his wolf form stood. Almost in a split second, your body was beside the wolf's frame.

'You've got to stop doing that.' Jacob's thoughts called to you, your hair messier than before a bright smile directed at him. It was quickly replaced with a frown when you saw your image from his eyes. 'You're getting better at only hearing the thoughts I'm sharing with you.' it was a compliment to your abilities.

"I've been practicing my 'magic' I've only been able to poof around like that and levitate things." The two of you went on a walk through the forest as he had hardly come in his human form because he still felt the need to 'protect' you. "I've learned how to make fire... with magic, obviously I know how to turn on the stove." Jacob laughed as he pictured you unable to turn on the stove or unable to make a bonfire, hence the reason you corrected yourself. Picking up a handful of leaves and sticks in your hand. The moisture in the air enough for the water needed in the 'magic' "Watch this." A childish grin across your lips as you close your hands around it. Picturing notebook paper you focused on the raw material. A flash of purple light emanated from your palms.

'Whoa!' Jacob's surprise shocked you for a second but did not break your focus. Holding up two pages of paper created from the materials and you grinned.

"Cool, right?" The paper was warm in your hands. A cold breeze caused a shiver to run down your spine. The cold wasn't something that affected you as much as it would without Jacob, "So what's the latest news, about Victoria." You asked nonchalantly as you sat down beside his standing form. He sat as well besides you letting you lean into his body. He hesitated pictures of Victoria ran through his head, they flashed through your own head causing a grimace to appear on your face.

'Sorry.' His voice apologized for your mood change. You tried to push away the feeling. Beginning to fold the paper on your lap. He decided to tell you everything the pack had discussed previously. The conversation flooded through your head a constant reminder of the connection.

"So the Cullens asked your "pack" to join them in fighting newborn vampires?" You continued to fold the paper in an origami shape, sighing you nodded. "So you're gonna fight some vampires on steroids?"

'We have to protect the people of Forks-' A picture of Bella flashed in your head, you felt no anger or resentment, just an understanding.

"Bella, the newborns were made by Victoria to fight against the Cullens. Jacob, be honest, she was your best friend you're were in love with her. I get it, you do want to protect people from vampires, but you want to protect her the most." You finished the wolf and put it down on your lap, smiling softly at the wolf a pain shot through your chest, and you hissed in shock.

Jacob whined softly turning to him you grimaced, 'You felt that too?' Nodding at him you clutched your chest leaving a dull ache in its wake.

"What do you think that was?" Moving away from his warmth to look at him over, another sharp pain caused you to gasp. "Jacob!" You yelp as he drops onto the ground from the pain plaguing the both of you. Gasping for the air you looked down at his frame, you only had a few moments to do something anything to get him out of harm's way. Clutching your chest you dragged yourself towards him, focusing on his thoughts you could hear someone screaming for 'Sam' telling him that Jacob was in danger. Jacob wasn't phasing out of his wolf form, wrapping your arms around his neck you closed your eyes and thought about safety for Jacob somewhere safe for him to go. You couldn't carry him, he was too big in either form and all you could do was hope for the magic in you to take the reigns.
