Day 6 of Jacob "protecting" you, there hasn't been a sign of the redhead. You'd go to school, pick up some things that your sister asked you to. Since Ames was busy at the hospital, apparently since Carlisle had left for a week, it seemed the whole hospital was in disarray. So as Ames was busy at work you were grounded for ditching your last two periods, although it wasn't much of a punishment. Either way you were alone at school, except now Jacob would occasionally pass by and sometimes you'd catch a glimpse of him but more often it was the warmth of his presence that let you know he was near you. After you put away groceries you served yourself a bowl of cereal, pouring some milk into the bowl. As you sat quietly eating your cereal you couldn't help but feel you were missing something.

Bella was now missing too, which was a bit odd. She wasn't in your class the other day, and to be fair all you really knew was what people would talk about around you. She didn't seem right when her boyfriend wasn't around but, she wasn't as bad as before, at least that's what Jessica was saying to the boy behind you. Apparently they were coming back just went on a family trip, something they seemed to do quite often. It was odd how reliant  Bella was on Edward, but if she too had only came back to Forks since she was a kid it makes since if she was codependent. At least it kind of made sense, her father was also the chief of police so without someone to relay on making her reliance on Edward make more sensible. Taking a bite of the cereal you hum and looked up at the clock, if you finished your work maybe you could sleep early tonight.

The Cullens were an interesting group at least from what you've heard in passing and classes. It seems like they were the talk of the whole town 99.3% of the time especially whenever Bella wasn't in focus with Edward. It was a bit of a relief to not have people focus on you almost being able to walk the halls without anyone noticing, occasionally you'd get shoulder checked down the hallways, but doesn't everybody? What was even wrong with the Cullens besides their colonial model looks? The only thing you'd truly found weird is that apparently they were all dating in some way was odd. It seems... way of keeping it in the family...you guess.

It felt odd as you picked up the bowl and went to the sink, your overthinking it. You couldn't help but think of Carlisle as a vampire. He was nothing like the redhead, he was a surgeon and his eyes were a golden brown not red like hers. It was just too far-fetched you had no evidence besides some chills and that could be just because of shock, Edward had alarmed you, Carlisle was cold as he checked you over but he'd been in the hospital all day with a running AC, and well the redhead tried to eat you...maybe her bad energy just warned you. The curtains blocked sunlight from coming inside, but it was in the hope that you weren't founded or spotted. Maybe you'd do research on what actually protected someone from a vampire, since Jacob hasn't spoken to you over the topic even as he rounds the house when your sister isn't home or she's asleep. Even then, media had things like garlic and a wooden stake which didn't seem very realistic, but if vampires had red eyes they'd need something in order to hide or blend in like contacts? Then it could be possible that the Cullens... No, at least not Carlisle he dealt with blood so often... besides why would Edward date a human who was a walking Capri Sun.

As your thoughts spiraled you couldn't help but laugh at the mental image of Carlisle sucking the blood off from his gloves like if he was eating KFC. Dark humor...but funny. Laughing in the poorly lit room you couldn't help but feel a sense of dread run into you. A chill ran through your spine and you stopped laughing. Looking up at the ceiling to where the light fixture reflected off your glasses.

Covering your mouth and nose in hopes of silencing your breathing as you froze in the living room. It was an odd feeling, seeping into every pore, due to the quietness of the house you could hear someone humming. It was as if that person was walking around the perimeter of the house, it couldn't be...right? Was it Jacob?...No. Your heart felt like it stopped beating as the humming continued it had to be her, does she have better hearing? Would it be safer to move of stay frozen in place? You felt your hand shake against your lips and you were feeling like you were suffocating. There was no way that it could be anyone else other than her, she was playing with you as if showing that she knew you were weak, that you weren't protected.
