Carlisle watched still unsure of the situation, he had remembered talking to Amy about it when she had confronted him on vampyres. When Carlisle, first calmed her down, before explaining how they were able to sustain themselves on their so called "vegetarian diet" she had backed down. Leading to another confrontation revealing the fact that Amy was sure her mother was a witch, which Carlisle had taken for a joke saying the only women killed in the Salem witch trials were innocents. Amy was an interesting intern when he'd met her in Forks, the girl said she came from Los Angeles another quirk of the young girl besides her exceeding smarts.
"Yeah, we- we gotta talk." Amy said as she moved to sit besides her younger sister who's hands where tugging on her now Snow White hair.
"Yeah, I'll bet."
"Ya think?" (Y/n) growled in confusion, her hair was important to her she hesitated on cutting or dyeing her hair due to their mother's importance on hair and appearance. "I look like I'm a hundred and 60 Ames!" She stressed as she huffed tears balanced on edge of her eyes.
"(Y/n)," Ames said seriously, causing the younger girl to drop her hands onto her lap and focusing on the older sister. "I think...I think you inherited mom's powers." Amy put a hand on her shoulder as the other girls mouth opened in shock.
"Very funny, ha ha. Aimee I swear to the lord almighty if you don't stop speaking nonsense-"
"I'm sorry...I thought we were safe once, Mom...but I think she passed her powers along. I'm not sure how it works, but we never had the "gift"," Aimee air quoted. "when we were kids. We weren't supposed to continue the lineage." (Y/n) looked dumbfounded not speaking instead remaining silent and staring at her lap.
"Amy," Carlisle spoke and (Y/n) rolled her eyes at the pronunciation, but said nothing. "I thought it was only a suspicion?" Carlisle questioned your sister.
"It was, until the accident had happened, our mom left us books and among other things connecting the dots for me. I thought it wasn't possible for power or the gift to be passed on." Aimee began to pace as (Y/n) remained silent further putting the older sister in agitation.
"Why me?" (Y/n) finally cut through the confusion of Cullen silence and halting her sister's pacing.
"Well...I don't know, if anything the transference if even possible should've been to me." Aimee said, an edge to her voice.
"What if I don't want it?" (Y/n) stood up her knees weak causing her to fall back into the couch.
Aimee looked at her sadly, "It doesn't work like that, at least from what written in Mom's books."
"She gave it to me, can't I-"
"She channeled it on her last dying breath, moron." Aimee said annoyed before apologizing, "I didn't mean that, it's just, we don't know the effects or even what this means."
"So what does this mean? Twitches? Harry Potter? I dunno something witchy? Buffy?" (Y/n) asked and Aimee looked around at the Cullens.
"Well, you shouldn't bring up Buffy for one." Causing Edward to laugh ironically and Aimee reached into her pocket taking out their Mother's ring. (Y/n) tensed realizing she was right about the Cullen's, not only that but she shivered from her heightened anxiety. "Mom, left it to us. I think you should have it." (Y/n) didn't reach for it instead the ring was held between Aimee's fingers as (Y/n) stared at it. She remembered her mom never removed it, never, she removed her wedding rings for the dishes. When she used dough or for any reason, she could think of, the ring was never removed to her knowledge. It disturbed her in a way to think that her mother was without it, of course, she knew she couldn't take "earthly possessions" to where she was now, but even then she hesitated.
