Harry"Welcome back to Late, Late. I'm James Corden and I am sitting here in front of Harry Styles," I watched the crowd applauding as James introduced me. The smell of that stupid, thousand-year-old eggnog was filling my nostrils and I knew it was going to be the first thing that I was going to give James.
I swear he was doing this on purpose. I could see it in the way he smirked as the tune of the 'Spill your guts or fill your guts' played in the room. I don't know why Florence would ever participate out of her own free will. I know she is adventurous, but eating a scorpion is not the kind of adventure I'd sign up for.
"So, Harry, are you ready?" James rubbed his hands together, throwing a subtle smirk my way. "We're playing Spill your guts or fill your guts', are you familiar with the game?"
I nodded slowly, my hands resting on the turning table as I moved it back and forth out of nervousness. I knew Flo was watching me and she was probably laughing her ass off by now. This is probably the most unprepared I've been for an interview.
Florence told me to just let it happen and that I shouldn't worry about it, but that's not in my nature. I always worry, about unprepared questions, dinner, what to wear, anything.
"Alright, Harry we are going to ask each other three questions and we can decide whether we spill our guts or fill them with these delicacies," James explained, clearly enjoying this. I had a lot of fun, up until now, sitting here at this table filled with disgusting foods. "Are you ready?"
I bit my lip, helplessly looking at Florence who was watching me from backstage and then the crowd, who were laughing at me. They can laugh all they want but they're not the ones sitting here. "No," I meekly said, the tone of my voice was rather high and immediately the room was filled with more laughter.
"Let's get started, this is your first question," I watched how James took one of the purple cards. My heart started beating more quickly as James chuckled silently, his eyes turning to the crowd.
His mischievous eyes switched between the card and me. "Harry," He paused, keeping the tension up a little longer. He moved the table until he stopped and I found a bug trifle in front of me. "Last year, you were filming a movie that came out last summer. Now, between Ashley, Matthew, Leslie and Jules, who was the least pleasant to work with?"
I breathed in loudly through my teeth. This was not a question I could answer, I couldn't right? But this trifle, really? My eyes scanned the crowd, encouraging me to answer the question. I bit my lip as I slowly grabbed the spoon, inspecting the trifle. Again, I wouldn't mind switching with Florence.
I put the spoon down, debating if I should answer him as I watched James smirk. "Nope, I'm not saying anything." I groaned as I picked up the spoon, grabbing a spoonful of the trifle. I inspected it slightly, hearing the groans and mumbles across the room. Yeah, I know. Gross.
I smelled the contents first, still deciding whether I should just answer the question. I can't. Shit, this game truly fucks up my head. I opened my mouth and tasted the trifle.
My gaze was set on Florence as I tasted the trifle, she held her hand in front of her mouth, holding back her laughter. I swallowed the disgusting taste, taking the glass of water an drinking a large sip from it, to try and get rid of the taste. "Who made that?" Was the only thing I could muster, the crowd fell into laughter.
I asked James a question in return, deciding to give him some hot sauce because I know he hates anything that is remotely spicy. I grabbed the card, reading the question first as a little laugh fell from my lips. This is perfect, he is surely going to eat hot sauce because I don't think he will answer this question. "James, this is going to be a good one," I smirked. "You've been friends with Florence and me for a while, now who is your favourite guest to have on the show?"
