Chapter 17

Massimo's pov

When the person steps out of the car and doesn't turn around, i have the feeling that I know the person.

The person slowly turns around and time freezes, it's skai!... She looks so frail and she has lost some weight, there's bags under her eyes, but she's still my beautiful Skai.

She grins and starts running towards and I hurry to her and lift her up, and I claim her lips and hold her as close to me as possible.

I didn't know a tear had slipped until I felt her finger wipe it. I lean my forehead on hers and just stare into her beautiful eyes, I might seem like a creep right now, but I don't mind admitting I'm obsessed with this girl in front of me, I love her so damn much.

"I've missed you so much baby, I was going crazy..."

She cuts me off

"I love you baby, I love you so much!"

That makes me feel warm inside, I had lost all hope I'll ever hear her say those words again.

"I love you even more Cara mía."

I kiss her again with even more passion, I was so scared I'd lost her and here she is, in front of me, I try to pour all my emotions into that kiss, I'm never letting her out of my side and sight again, I don't wanna take any chances.

But our kiss is interrupted by none other than,

"Get a room guys"

She immediately looks up and sees Chris, she giggles.

"Charming!"

I hate it when she calls him charming, I'm her charming. While I'm pouting, she tries to run towards him, but I pull her back to my side and whisper in her ear,

"I'm never letting you out of my sight, ever again!"

Before she can react, I kiss her to silence her, because I know she'll want to talk me into letting her run over to Chris, but I'm not having it.

I look up to see the stupid ass Chris grinning and I glare at him. While I'm distracted, she frees herself and runs towards the drivers side of the pick up truck. I just stand there watching her every move, she's talking to the driver, i wonder who it is. Guy mentioned he had his friend bring her over here, so I guess it's his friend.

I see her coming over with a man.

"Boys meet my..."

Chris cuts her off,

"Boys?... I don't know about your 'boyfriend' over thers, but I is a man sweetie."

I nod agreeing with him, who's she calling a boy? I'm a full grown man. She just rolls her eyes and continues talking .

"As before, meet Gabriel, he and Guy rescued me."

We shake hands with him and Chris asks us to move our discussion inside as we were still in the driveway.

Once we're inside, we tell them about Guy being in the hospital and update them on how he's doing and the plans to move him here, because José is still out there and he's too dangerous. We need Guy to testify against him in court, so we can't afford for anything to go wrong.

I show Gabriel to the guest room where he'll be staying while Skai moves to our room to get settled.

Chris decided to leave too and will be back tomorrow. When I enter the room and I don't see Skai, I'm about to panic, but decide against it when I remember she might be in the bathroom. I knock on the door,

"Who's it?" her soft voice rings in my head and I smile, before answering.

"Me."

she opens up, I walk in and pull her into a tight hug, then i let go and turn to lock the door behind me,

"Uh, what are you doing?"

"Let's take our shower skai. It's been a long day and remember I said I'm not letting you out of my sight."

I say as I start to unbutton my shirt, but stop when I see her strip out of her clothes and I'm immediately entranced by her beauty.

I let my eyes roam her perfect body, they stop on a mark, it looks like someone hit her repeatedly and its beginning to turn blue black, I feel the sudden rage go through me when I remember the video, I take in a sharp breath to calm myself.

She tries to wrap a towel around herself but, I quickly snatch it out of her hold, before she has a chance to cover herself. She look at me with teary eyes. I pull her into a comforting hug, to reassure her she's safe and I love her.

"You're so beautiful Skai."

She snaps her head up to look at me and I smile.

She hugs me and cries into my chest.

My sweet Skai, they will pay for what they did to you, all of them.
