Massimo's Pov
Things have been going really great with Skai, and I've never been happier. Even my parents noticed how happy I've been since she came into my life. That day in my office when she Confessed her feelings for me, I wanted to take her straight to the altar, so we could be together for the rest of our lives. Now I can't get the image of a little Skai running around out of my head. ismerelda loves her, my parents love her, even my siblings, they all adore her. I loved Elsa, but as the days go by I've noticed what I felt for her can never be compared to what I feel for Skai.
When I see her my dark days get sunny, I don't know how she does it, but she brightens up every room she walks into with her bright smile. I think I'm ready to make the first step towards forever, I can't stop staring at the ring I got her, it is simple yet elegant! Just like her. This might be highly impulsive, but, I want her with me when I wake up in the morning, i want to be able to come home to her
"what's got you smiling like a maniac?" Chris says.
I look up to see him smirking in a knowing manner, like he can read my mind.
"shut up."
He raises his hands in fake surrender
"what are you doing here?" I ask.
"can't a guy visit his friend? Where's Skai?"
I roll my eyes
"She went to get supplies at the store, she'll be here soon"
He nods, then he narrows his eyes at me as he notices the black box on my table and the ring I'm holding.
"what's that?"
I roll my eyes and place the ring back in its box.
"what does it look like?"
"Are you sure you're ready?"
"positive." I say with a knowing smile.
"I'm happy for you man, she's the one, don't lose her."
We dap and I nod and smile at him, he returns the smile
"Well, I don't want to be here with your brooding ass, I'm going to spend time with my neice."
"She's not your neice, stupid."
He puts his hand on his chest and gasps loudly
"You wound me."
I roll my eyes as he walks out of my study.
I still have some work to do before I have to go out to assist Skai decorate the house for Christmas. I've never been a festive person, I just don't have what they call the 'festive spirit' I guess. Normally, by now, I'll still be at the office and ismerelda would be at my parent's in Italy, so this is a very big change for me and I'm oddly excited about it.

**45 minutes later**
I've been trying to reach Skai for the last 10 minutes, but she's not picking up and it's getting me worried as she's always with her phone. It's probably in her bag, but she should be back by now. Maybe I'm just overreacting, I miss her so much, I should go join the others while waiting for her return.
**1 hour 30 minutes later**
Okay, now I'm freaking out, I've called all her friends and she's not with any of them. They all last spoke with her in the morning when she reminded them about the dinner she's hosting at my place tonight, I'm getting really worried. It's not normal for her to go 30 minutes without calling me to rant about something or ask my opinion on something, but she hasn't called and neither is she picking up and at this point I'm at wits' end.
I'm pacing in my office unsure what to do, I can't call the cops because she's not been unreachable for up to 24 hours, I'm just so confused on what to do
"Hey man, what's up?"
Chris barges into my study without knocking. I shoot him a look that let's him know I'm not in the mood and he gets the message.
"What's wrong? Where's Skai?"
"That's the fucking problem, I can't get through to her! She's not picking up and no one knows where she is!"
"Have you tried her apartment?"
I just realised I haven't, she's probably there, now I remember she told me, she might need to drop by her place to grab somethings.
"Uh, let me...oh shit"
"What?"
"Never mind, I was going to call Malcolm, her neighbour, but I remembered she told me he was over at his fiancées parents place for the holiday."
He nods
"Let's go see what's keeping her then."
I nod and frantically search for my keys, then we head out.
Breaking every speed limit and I may or may not have ran a traffic light. Don't get me wrong, I'm a law abiding citizen, but right now I'm not in the best frame of mind, I'm hanging onto the bit of hope I have that she's at that apartment.
Lord I hope she's okay...
