Comet's POV

I looked over at Em and Lily.

"Didn't you say that Jenny wouldn't be home until 7?"

Em threw her hands up, "That's what she told me!"

"Window! Come on!" Lily grabbed my wrist and started to drag me over to the window, but Em's bedroom door swung open and Jenny stood in the doorway with Mom and Andrew, all looking smug.

"Mom?" I took my hand off of the window, "What are you doing here?"

Erika pulled out her phone and shook it, "GPS."

"I thought we agreed no tracking me," I crossed my arms.

"We agreed no tracking when I didn't have a reason to be tracking you. When you leave with Lily while Em is grounded and you both look guilty, yeah - I'm going to track you."

"We need to work on your poker face, Com," Em flopped back onto her bed.

"And you," Jenny grinned, "Need to work on following the rules."

Em flushed, and Lily and I couldn't suppress our laughs.

"Before you ground all of us for life," I shrugged, "Can we at least finish the movie?"

Erika raised an eyebrow, "That's your priority?"

Em sat up, "It is the Hamilton movie."

The three adults looked at the screen, then back at each other.

It was Jenny who spoke at last, "You have until Alex gets home."

The door closed and Lily and I joined Em on the bed.

"How much trouble do you think we're in?" Lily asked.

Em shrugged, "Anywhere between 'We are very disappointed in you'," she deepened her voice and shook her finger, "To, 'You're grounded for the rest of your life, missy'."

Alex arrived a little under an hour later and we were marched into the dining room - kids on one side, parents on the other. Though, Andrew looked more amused than upset.

"Did you know Em was grounded?" Erika asked me.

"Yes."

"Then why did you come?"

"Hamilton."

"But you lied to me."

I opened my mouth to reply, but Lily jumped in, "Technically, we didn't. We said we were going to watch a movie. We just didn't say where, or which movie, or with who."

"With whom," Jenny corrected under her breath.

Em's POV

"I should ground my daughter from you," Erika looked at me. "Even if Comet didn't know, she isn't usually like this."

"I'm sorry, Erika. It won't happen again, I promise. It was stupid of me, but I did tell Comet I was gonna have her watch Hamilton with me before I got grounded."

"I'll let it slide this one time, just don't do it again," Erika turned towards Comet. "Come on, Meadowlark, it's getting late."

"Bye, Emily. I'll see you sometime," Comet waved, and I waved back.

"Well I guess, I'll go-" Lily got cut off by Andrew.

"I don't care if you're a legal adult, you're still in trouble." Andrew said. "You helped Emily and Comet get in trouble, and you knew what you were doing."

"Yep. They're like my sisters. Plus, I live by myself. I can do as I please." Lily said, swinging out the window. Andrew sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"I guess I better go and find her. She's probably going to her apartment. I'll talk to you guys later, and Em, good luck." Andrew said, walking out the door. Alex turned to me.

"So," He said.

"So?"

"You know I can't stay mad at you, so you're lucky. I'll let you off this time, if there's a next time it'll be two weeks added," Alex said, and Jenny nodded.

"Really?! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I exclaimed, hugging both of them.

"Now get to bed, it's late," Jenny said, walking me to my room and turning off my light.

"'Night!"
