Chapter 14: Between Raid And Rescue

3rd Person POV

You sat down with your teammates while Emily starts her briefing of how to rescue hostages from the village and then eliminate the bandit boss alive if possible. Your location is in the forest near the raided village that is overtaken by bandits.

"Ok, we'll start a debriefing plan based on the map with the hostages located on the back to the right." Emily shows out a map in front of everyone and points at the building where the bandits are guarding the hostages. "First off, we'll start off with any powerful offenses. Shizure and I will be the ones to lead them to lure a major amount of bandits over to us while Y/n, her teammates, and everyone else who is not fighting with us will try to go around and find an opening path to get through the least amount of defenses near the jail." Emily explains the general objective plan.

"Well, I like where there this is going at least." Phoebe comments.

"However, I need the offense to save their energy and not try to overdo our skills because of the boss. We only need to hold them out until Y/n succeeds in the rescue phase. While Y/n and her rescuing teammates encounter defensive guards who are guarding their position, Phoebe with her higher agility should be able to lure them away without any problems while Y/n and the rest infiltrate the jail building and unlock the door to rescue the hostages from their village. Make sure they get out safely."

"Oh, and don't forget the rules though. Any friendly fire will not be tolerated and they will have to be punished severely since there is a difference between any rankings. I can smell it from anyone of you." Shizure glances her eyes on each of your allies. Everyone has their backbone shaking from her aura.

"And where should we put the prisoners from this village at?" You questioned.

"You will have to put them in a safe place away from our battle area since we can't make much of the vehicle noses. We can't let them and especially the boss know that we're still rescuing the hostages while we are the diversions." Emily explains your question. "Any concerns?" She asks for anyone. "...?" Emily points out to a male adventurer who is ID'ed to be rank D.

"Now hold on, why does that cripple have to be a leader of saving the villagers. Can't we be the ones to deal with this leadership?" He asks.

Shizure: Sorry, but you're not fit with this since you are just one of the lackeys who just nothing but pawns. Your brain should have been wise if that's what you wanted to do.

"Nani!?"

"Alright, we're done here-," Shizure said.

"Wait, why can't we just defeat the offenses that much? We would have been ok at least." Another male adventurer who is rank E asked.

"You are free to defeat anyone of them, but do not overdo your energy since there might be an endless supply of them. Just use your best and conservative strategy if you can." Emily answers his question. "Ok, if there's nothing to answer, then we must be on our way. The hostages cannot last long since it has been a few days since their village has been raided." She said. You plan on leading your teammates and your allies, traveling around the village until you find an opening that is near the jail. Emily and the others are planning a distraction, which is at the front of the entrance to the village.

"What the...?" The bandits who are guarding the front spotted Emily and her offensive team. "Hey, we got-!" He exclaimed.

"Javelin of Light: Heavenly Rain!" Emily starts off first with her left hand holding up, casting her barrage of magic javelin of light raining down on them.

"What the heck!?" The bandits inside the village have decided to wake up for defensive lines.

"We got party crashers coming to our village! Come on!" They are engaging in combat.
