chapter 6: Stories of My School days

On the 1st day of school, I went in early for freshman orientation. There are no uniforms, but mandatory red robes everyone's receives. The classes are from morning till early afternoon. Then it leads into clubs till the evening. The Club showcase started the
next day and lasted for the rest of the week. Most usually decide to join a club in their 2nd year so they can get used to their schedule and workload.  They also provide a mentorship program in your second year. I built myself a mini lab in my new home in
my 1st year until I could afford a real one. My schedule was busy, so I hired Amelia to look after my mother. I also decided to commute from home so I would see her every day before and after school. In the beginning I designated all my free days to spend
with her. I provided an open invitation to our family from our old district to join us. They supported my dreams and believed I could cure mother one day, but never added any pressure. In fact, they encouraged me by coming over so I could take breaks, go out,
make friends, and date. I was grateful. Mom never lets me leave the house without saying “I love you and I am always proud of you for doing your best.”

I was assigned to homeroom 1A mainly for the royals, geniuses, and the recommended students. So, the school also announced at the ceremony that classes will be co-ed from this school year on. The men's right group in school is composed of both princes.  Alfred
was the reason the school became co-ed 4 years ago.  The presence of both princes instigated this final stage of integration.  The 1st prince Alfred is a 3rd-year. Who is a prodigy of language and literature. He also started engineering club as a hobby. He’s
known as the failure prince with pretty words and no magical skills because of his low mana capacity. His appearance tall blonde with almond shaped green eyes square with a chiseled jawline paired with soft features and occasional subtle facial hair. Then
there’s Alan the 5th prince in name only because he’s royalty by marriage. He’s a 1st-year cooking and music prodigy.  He has a round face, small build, orange-brown skin, diamond shaped purple eyes and silky black hair. He’s also Zelena's brother. I met Zelena
around this time. We clicked immediately. I don't even know why; it was like we were always meant to be friends and sisters. After the club showcase, we stayed outside and talked for hours in the garden, time just flew by. We discussed our families, our dreams,
hopes, likes and dislikes. She told me Alan was her stepbrother, her father got remarried recently and adopted him. They reconnected a few years ago. They used to communicate via letters. The woman her father married was older than him, but he seemed very
happy. So, she was too. Her father also brought her and Alan together with his newfound interest in the arts. He even joined a Theatre group after Zelena was taken away from him and Cora left. He’d discovered he had a talent for it. He told Zelena this saved
him. Zelena said her father never had freedom to explore his own interests with her mother especially.  This was also how he met his 2nd wife, the vice leader of the arts guild, Helena Undine, a Countess and a branch family. They had a support group for broken
families and marriages they met there. At their wedding, apparently Cruella felt like she was being excluded and replaced by Alan, not realizing she was doing that to herself. She made a spectacle and ex-communicated herself, but the day was saved by Zelena
heartwarming speech welcoming her new mother and brother into the family. She even got the mother-daughter and sibling relationships she always wanted.  Alan also got a father who understood him and was interested in his talents. His real father died in the
war as a hero, but they never got along or ever saw eye to eye on anything, but with Henry they just clicked. Zelena loved this new version of her dad, he was more confident, happier and best of all he had his own life. She loved their new family time. Helana
even planned a family trip every year for them to stay close and bond.  For our graduation Henry opened a speak easy with Alan. The firsts of its kind in the noble district owned by a male. It was so successful they expanded into other districts, they're especially
popular in the lower district. Henry partnered with Maleficent's mother and Ursula for her dad's speak easy. The Official name is Mist Haven.
