We arrived at our house in twenty minutes. Peggy and Angelica went inside, but me, Eliza, and Samuel stayed in the front lawn.

"There's a ball tomorrow night." Eliza told him.

"Is there?" He cocked his head.

"There is." She nodded. Samuel turned away from Eliza to look at me. She made a move that meant 'give it a go'.

"We may be seeing you there." I say stupidly.

"Okay." Samuel laughed. Eliza pinched the bridge of her nose.

"'Would you like to go to the ball?' is what Bianca meant to say." She told him.

"It would be my pleasure." He nodded with a smile. At this time, my father stepped out the door.

"Who the hell are you?" He asked quickly.

"Samuel Seabury, sir." He told my father politely. "I offered to walk your daughters home."

"Thank you." My father nodded.

"Have a lovely evening, sir." Samuel did a little bow and turned to leave. Before doing so, he caught my eye and winked.

Eliza and I headed inside to find Peggy and Angelica lined up in the family room.

Not this again.

Eliza and I stood in line, like the military.

"Who is Samuel Seabury?" My father asked.

"We found him being picked on by Alexander Hamilton and helped him out." Peggy informed him.

"I asked him to walk us home." Angelica told him.

"What is his political standpoint?" He was talking like a general.

"He's... He's a loyalist." I told him begrudgingly.

"Don't marry him." My father ordered, walking away. Back to his office, upstairs.

"Nice going, Bianca." Peggy rolled her eyes. "You've managed to hook a loyalist."

~Time skip to 1 hour before the ball~

"Daddy said that I'm too young to go." Peggy huffed.

"About about me?" I froze. I had been figuring out what to wear.

"I think you're fine." She sighed, sitting on my bed. "What're you gonna wear?"

"I was thinking I'd wear this:

"Oh, I like it!" Peggy nodded approvingly

"Oh, I like it!" Peggy nodded approvingly. "What about your hair?"

"I was just going to leave it like this." It was just straight (abiet slightly wavy).

"Absolutely not." She sat me down at my chair and began doing stuff with my hair. It ended up in a braid.

"Why are you helping me?" I asked.

"If I can't go to the ball, I'll make sure you marry that Samuel Seabury." She declared. I laughed, brushing it off.

I don't want to marry Samuel Seabury.

We went to the ball just as the sky turned a shade darker. My heart subconsciously dropped when I didn't see Samuel anywhere. Eliza was talking to Angelica.

"This one's mine." She whispered, pointed at Alexander Hamilton. I scoffed and leaned against the wall.

I genuinely thought he was going to come. I mean, he seems like he'd keep his word, right?

Angelica and Eliza were talking to Alexander. I sidled over to them.

"I'm going to go outside for a moment." I told them, using the 'fancy talk' Eliza had taught me. They both nodded, so I stepped outside. I slunk into the shadows and bumped into a figure. "Oh! I'm sorry!" I gasped, backing out of the shadows so I wasn't in anyone's way. A familiar scrawny figure scrambled out of the shadows, head turned to see behind him as if there was someone there. He turned towards me.

"Bianca!" He yelped.

"Samuel." I greeted him, stifling a grin.

"You were inside already?" He asked, straightening his grey coat.

"I was." I nodded, fidgeting with a price of fabric on my dress. "What are you doing out here?"

"I was waiting for you so I could walk you in." Samuel explained.

"I thought you just didn't come." I smiled, holding out my arm for him to link. He did, and we walked back inside. People were dancing, and that includes Eliza and Alexander Hamilton. Angelica was half-heartedly flirting with some men at the food area. I led Samuel over to them. It was the man in a beanie and the freckle-face.

"Angelica?" I smiled. She, before looking at me, looked Samuel over once. She nodded approvingly and had a look at me.

"Bianca." She said with relief. The two men near were glaring at Samuel. He shrunk down a little bit. Angelica noticed this and rounded on them.

"Why don't you two introduce yourself to my sister and her date?" She did that terrifying angry smile. (You know the one)

"Date?" I echoed, cringing.

"John Laurens." The freckled one picked up my hand and kissed it. The other did the same.

"Hercules Mulligan."

"Bianca Schuyler. It's a pleasure to meet you." I stole Eliza's line through gritted teeth before backing up one pace to stand beside Samuel. He was very red in the face, and staring at John and Hercules like a scared deer. "And this is Samuel Seabury."

Samuel shakily shook both their hands. He doesn't seem to be too great with people. Hercules, when they shook hands, pulled Samuel close to him and hissed in his face.

"Pull yourself together. You're here with a lady, don't make her feel like she's the one protecting you." He told Samuel. He gave Hercules a tight nod and came back, this time bold. And not fearful. Hercules caught John glaring at Samuel and shoved him. John looked away.

The song ended, and Alexander and Eliza came over to us. They were both giggling. Hamilton froze and rolled his eyes when he saw Samuel.

"This again?" He sighed. Eliza gave him a look that he ignored. Samuel stiffened then relaxed, probably remembering what Hercules had said.

To be continued.
I want to start another chapter now, so it'll probably pick up where it left off.
