"Alexander!" Eliza looked at him. He continued on.

"Are you tainting balls too?" He stepped closer to Samuel, who carefully directed me a little bit behind him. Once he did this he glanced at Hercules for approval. He nodded. The group was watching intently. "Are you gonna preach your loyalism here too?"

"Sir, I-" Samuel started, before getting cut off.

"It talks!" Alexander said in a "hurrah" tone. "But we already knew that."

"Sir, I'm here with her sister." He pointed to Eliza, who crossed her arms and turned towards Alex for his rebuttal.

"So you're Bianca." He looked at me, then back at Samuel. "You're lucky she's a Sister."

"I am." Samuel nodded. Alexander whisked Eliza away again as another song started up. Samuel glanced at me and held out his hand.

(This isn't gonna be that cringy slow dance "I love you" scene,, If any readers (havent got any just yet) want that kind of chapter then I can give it a go.)

"Sure." I nodded, but before he left me into the dance floor, I grabbed Angelica's hand and brought her with us. Samuel chuckled and she held out her hand to him so we could dance as a group.

By the end of the song, we were all laughing.

"I'll go get some drinks." I told them.

~Angelica's POV~

"I'll go get some drinks." Bianca told us, walking towards the table. I turned towards Samuel Seabury.

"What are your plans with my sister?" I demanded.

"What?" His brown eyes snapped towards me. "I... I plan on taking her to the park after the ball to get to know eachother-"

"That's not what I meant." I sighed. "Are you going to be with her, then leave, be with her and stay, or just be her friend?"

"I... I don't know." Samuel shook his head.

"Well, figure it out." I ordered. Bianca come back.

~Bianca's POV~

I returned with three flutes of champagne. Angelica took hers, spotted John Laurens, and sped off.

"That was sudden." I smiled, straightening my dress.

"Your sister is, uh..." He trailed off in search of words.

"Scary?" I offered. He did finger-guns with a grin.

"That's the word." Samuel nodded. I looked past him to see something that made my heart drop. It was my father observing Alexander and Eliza dancing. Samuel turned to see what I was looking at. I redirected his attention.

"Let's go out side." I said hurriedly, taking his hand and leading him out the back door, which opened right into a pitch black alley.

"Bianca?" He asked when the door was closed. "Are you still there?"

"Yes." I had let go of his hand an instant before.

"Why are we outside?" Samuel asked. I could just barely see him holding his hands out to feel for a wall.

"My father showed up." I explained.

"Oh." He stopped. "Is that bad?"

"Yes." I nodded, although he couldn't see it. I tried to walk towards him, but tripped on an unknown object and fell. Samuel heard the ruckus and instinctively reached out to try and catch me. He just barely missed and we both toppled over. During the horribly fast trip downwards, he angled to where my head would land on his chest.
