Samuel Henry Seabury!" A man bellowed. Alexander, Samuel's siblings, and Eliza followed the man in, trying to calm him down.
(I don't know what his middle name is. But Samuel and his father are both named Samuel Seabury.)
"Father! Father calm down!" Abigail pleaded, backpedaling in front of her father. He looked like Samuel a bit. Richelle had the same hair color but curly, and Abigail has frizzy brown hair. His father, him, and his brother all had the same hair color. The man looked furious. As soon as Eliza reached me, she pulled me to the side.
"That's Samuel's father, and he is not happy." She explained hurriedly.
"You had one job! Just the one!" He snarled. Samuel backed up a bit, face ghastly white. His brother, Caleb stood off to the side, and his sisters stood defensively on Samuel's sides. Alexander was watching from a distance, probably waiting to interject if it got out of hand.
"Im—" Samuel started, voice trembling.
"Well?" His father demanded impatiently.
"I'm not sorry." Samuel finished, straightening his posture. Richelle gasped and Abigail's eyes widened. Caleb didn't move.
"Is that so?" Mr. Seabury crossed his arms. Samuel nodded, stifling a shiver. "Well, is that your dear wife?"
He pointed at me. Alexander moved to stand beside Eliza and me.
"Yes." Samuel still hasn't moved since his father entered. I, without thinking, walked right up to Mr. Seabury and curtseyed.
"Bianca Schuyler." I introduced myself. I saw that Mr. Seabury's eyes widened in surprise. Samuel was frozen in place.
"Samuel William Seabury." Mr. Seabury furrowed his brows.
"It's a... It's a pleasure to meet you." I smiled.
"You're my son's wife?" He asked, still with a suspicious look on his face.
"I am." I nodded.
"Samuel." He turned to his son. "Get over here."
Samuel scurried over and stood beside (slightly in front of) me.
"You went to America and got married, something I specifically told you not to do, and didn't tell me about it until six days before the wedding." Mr. Seabury continued. "And to that I say finally."
"What?" Samuel practically jumped.
"I finally have a son with the spine to do something on his own." He shot a look at Caleb.
"You... What?" Caleb gaped.
"Caleb, you have to rebel at some point." Mr. Seabury sighed. Caleb hung his head. "Get a wife."
Samuel snuck a sly grin at his brother, who glared at him.
"And Bianca." Mr. Seabury turned back to me. "Welcome."
"Thank you." I beamed. Samuel's father then left the house. Caleb and his sisters followed, Richelle and Abigail gloating to him excitedly. Eliza, Samuel, and Alexander stayed.
"That was... Something." Eliza finally said.
"That was not what I expected you to do." Samuel admitted.
"That's not what I expected him to do." Alexander exclaimed.
"I definitely thought he was going to hit me." Samuel huffed.
"That's why I was there." Alex shrugged. "I wouldn't let him."
"Sure." Eliza rolled her eyes.
"I thought he'd hate me." I let out the breath I didn't realize that held.
"I guess not." Alexander shrugged.
"Bianca, Samuel, they want you back out there." Eliza told us and led the group back outside.
Samuel and I then had to dance more. We then, exhausted, has the surplus if food that was made for both mine and my sister's weddings. After that, people were just hanging out.
After a few more hours, mostly everyone had left. Father then gathered me, Eliza, Samuel, and Alexander.
"I've ordered two carriages to take you to your honeymoons." He told the four of us.
"You got us honeymoons?" Alexander's eyes widened.
"I did." Father nodded, turned to Samuel and I. "You'll be going to upstate New York, close to Lake Ontario."
"Thank you." I hugged my father.
"And you, Eliza and Alexander, will be going a little ways south." He told my sister and her husband.
"Will we still be in New York?" Eliza asked.
"Yes." Father nodded.
"Thank you." She beamed.
"Samuel, Alexander, I'd like to speak with the both of you." Father told the men. Eliza and I left together.
~Alexander's POV~
"I am trusting you both to treat my daughters with respect." Philip looked at us sternly.
"I wouldn't dream of doing anything different." Samuel nodded, straightening his posture.
"Yes, sir." I nodded.
"Samuel, I expected you to do nothing less." Philip gave my brother in-law a small smile. "But Alexander—"
"Why me?" I interrupted.
"Because you're not scared of disobeying me." Philip looked at me. I bobbed my head and Samuel's jaw dropped.
"Fair enough." I grinned.
"My point being: if you don't treat my daughters with respect, you will regret it." Philip continued.
"Yes, sir." Samuel looked at him, eyes wide. I nodded.
