You had returned from the case in Alaska one week ago. Ever since then, Spencer had been acting different. You only hung out once and he was more nervous and skittish than usual. You didn't understand why because you two had grown so close.

You came back into reality and turned your tv on. You were laying on your couch watching some crime documentary. You criticized the killer if they messed up and pointed out the flaws in their plan. "Oh come on! That just leaves a trace leading right back to you!" It was way different than real life that's for sure.

Speaking of real life, there was a knock on your door. Your team would be taking 2 weeks off because of the case in Alaska. It had only been 1 week there's no way you had another case. You opened the door and to your surprise Spencer stood there.

Spencer, being the fucking Eiffel Tower he was, stood in your doorway. His 6'1 self towered over your 5'7 body, even when leaning on a door. You crossed your arms and read his face. You could see it from 100 miles away he made it that obvious.

"Uhm can I come in?" He nervously asked. You shook your head and made room for him to pass. He paced back and forth before turning to face you. He clenched his jaw and ran his hand through his hair before speaking out loud.

"I don't know how to tell you this.." Your eyes opened in curiosity. Could he speak any slower?

"...Look what I'm getting at y/n, is that I like you. I don't know where I stand with you but I've never met anyone like you. I don't know what I mean to you or if I'm blowing this out of proportion. But all I know is every time I see you, all I want is to be with you." You were taken aback.

You remembered the first morning back from Alaska. All the way to the chat in the cafe. The girls were right. Spencer Reid has feelings for you.

You saw how nervous he was and grabbed his hand and smiled. That seemed to take some of the edge off.

"Spencer... I've liked you too. I just never thought you would like someone like me..." He furrowed his eyebrows. "What do you mean? Someone like me."

You did not mean for it to come out like that. It was either tell him about your past or make up some lie. You couldn't decide so you pulled him in and kissed him. He didn't move at first but eventually he kissed back with the same force. His hand went to your face, yours to his neck, deepening the kiss.

Time stopped when his lips met yours, but the flutter only intensified. Your heart pounded in your chest as your knees got weaker. You could only focus on how soft he felt against your mouth, how addictively he invaded all your senses.

He pulled away first. "Can I take you on a date tomorrow?" He breathed out.

You smiled and said yes. He kissed you in return. This one was shorter. God how you wish it were longer. You could kiss him forever.

He left shortly after, telling you he would pick you up at 6pm. When you closed your door you turned and fell against it and held your heart.

  This was real wasn't it?

You wiped your lip and smiled.

  Yep, definitely real.
