"Clarke will be under the tracks where the sun meets the horizon."

Those train tracks he mentioned were ones you and Clarke would sit and watch the sunrise. Your head fell into your hands.

"What? What does that mean?" JJ asked you.

Without moving, you mutter, "We need to go to the railroad tracks off 15th street." You stood up. "I'm going." And walked out. Hotch sent Derek, Emily, and Spencer along with you.

During the drive you sat in the back. Your chin was rested on your hand and you watched the cars pass by. You imagined the worst and your eyes started to water. Spencer looked over and put his hand on your leg.

"You need to get out of your head."

"What if I can't Spence." Your eyes met his. He could read you like a book.

Your facial expression sank faster than a penny on a pond, your skin became icy and pale as white itself. All the color in your eyes and skin faded as you concluded the worst. Every thought in your mind was silenced with denial and grief. You had a feeling you knew what you were going in to.

As you pulled under the tracks you put your aviators on while the sun shone down on the crime scene. The yellow tape blocked off a section under the tracks. In the back middle was a dumpster that was surrounded with cops. When you got under the overpass you took your glasses off and rested them on your shirt. Dogs barked in the alleyway that surrounded you and sirens blared. Your stomach dropped as you walked to the dumpster. Emily went first.

"There's a body over there." The detective pointed by the bin. "It's a female, looks like she was beat, raped, and then killed and dumped here. She's probably been here no more than a day."

You exhaled and Spencer grabbed your hand. Emily and Derek walked over first. They came back with a face you couldn't read.

"What?" You ask. "Who is it! Is it her?!" You snapped.

"Y/n..."

"Young female, blonde, and she was wearing this." Derek held out a small silver moon necklace covered in blood. You collapsed into Spencer.

"No no no..." You whimpered. He held you up, nuzzling his head into the back of yours. He tried to calm you but nothing worked.

"Let's move the body." You heard a distant voice say.

"No wait! I want to see her."

"Y/n... that's not a good idea-"

"Emily!" You yelled. She jumped back a little. You didn't mean to scare her but your emotions took over. You regained yourself and stood up. "Em, please. I have to. I have to know."

She shook her head and moved out of the way. You hesitantly walked to the back of the bin where you saw her. Her cold body was wrapped in the white tarp. Her face was badly bruised and you didn't even want to see what the rest of her body looked like.

She was cold. So cold. The life that had dwelt within her was gone and she was now safe from the perils of this world. No harm can come to her now. Her heart that used to beat with love was still. Her mind that felt so many emotions was blank. Her limbs were soft, the time of rigor mortis had begun.

"No..." The tears burst down like water from a dam, spilling down your face. You felt the muscles of your chin tremble like a small child and you looked at the clouds, hoping they could soothe you. The walls that held you up, the ones that made you strong just... collapsed. Moment by moment, they fell.

Spencer grabbed onto your waist and pulled you away. You clutched on to his arms trying to hold yourself steady.

"It can't be..." You muttered.
