When Aydin was 5 and Zora was 2, you worked on a stalking case. This woman stalked families and would kill the parents and kidnap their children. She wanted kids of her own. After you rescued the latest children she got triggered.

She became obsessed with you and your family. She stalked you and sent threatening letters to your address.

"Spence look. It's another one." You pointed at a letter amongst the stack of mail. It was handwritten. He quickly scanned it.

"We need to bring this in now." You both grabbed your stuff and called Janet.

You pinned the letter on the board. They read it over.

"Do you think she'll actually attack?" Emily asked when you left the room. Hotch shrugged.
"It's possible. We've seen how she is with her other victims but to an FBI agent? That's one big leap."

Her name was Bonnie Emery. She evaded police custody by staying low and avoiding cameras and phones so she couldn't be tracked. After several hours of nothing you felt a knot tighten in your stomach. You called Janet. She didn't answer.

  You called again.

  No answer.

You threw your blazer on and grabbed your gun and ran out of the BAU.

You pulled up to your house and you observed it. No lights were on and you couldn't see any movement. You put your hand on the knob and it was unlocked. You slowly pushed it open with the barrel of your gun and scanned the living room. The house was illuminated by the moon which cast a white/silver coloring.

When you hopped over the counter to check over it, Janet's dead body lay there. She had been shot twice in the chest. She held a phone in her hand. She must've tried to call for help.

Silence in the house lay like a down-filled duvet over the area, muffling the slightest sound and creating an atmosphere of total tranquility. Except it wasn't calming in the slightest. It was bad that it was this quiet. The quietness was almost tangible, no rustle of clothing, breathing slow and barely audible, even the once creaking of the house was stilled.

You held your gun in front and slowly checked the rest of the house. You heard movement upstairs before you could finish your primary search. You tried going to the stairs when someone lunged at you. They pushed you into the ground and your gun clattered from your hand. It was Bonnie.

She was on top of you and punched your face. Before she could get a second hit in you grabbed her arm and threw her off you. A gun you didn't know she had was knocked out of her hands. She quickly found her footing and charged at you again. You braced yourself so you wouldn't get knocked over and you found the strength to grab her shoulders and lift her off the ground and slam her against the wall. She grunted.

You figured Janet hid your kids and then tried to call for help. Bonnie was looking for them when you came in.

Her hands went to your face and they scratched and punched as she tried to free herself. You slammed her into the wall again, knocking over some picture that hung on the wall.

"Get the hell out of my house!" You yelled.

She kicked you off her and grabbed a vase. She smashed it against your head and you stepped back in front of the stairs, holding your head. Your ears rang and your vision slightly blurred. You turned when you heard Aydin call your name from the top of the stairs. Bonnie's eyes widened.

"Aydin...go home, now!" That was your code. You taught him about "home."

Home was a secret place in his closet. A door branched off from his closet and there was a tiny, cozy room on the other side. It was filled with a few toys, blankets, and pillows. You and Spencer would sometimes have sleepovers in there with him watching kids movies. If anything were to happen, he would hide in there.
