Worlds Collide

Patton

I sent Logan's soul off which I will bring back in a few minutes. I walk over to Virgil and stand in front of him as I take his headphones off.

I say, "He is at the land of the dead. I promise he will be fine."

Virgil nods, "I hope so. But I don't want to see his body."

"I understand."

I put his headphones back on and wait for a few minutes.

"Patton, put it back in," Virgil yells panicked.

I push Logan's soul against his chest, "I'm trying!" I continue trying to put his soul back into his body.

After a few more minutes, the other three walk in. Roman runs to Logan's side, "What happened?!"

I start getting teary eyed, Roman is going to hate me, "I messed up. I'm so sorry."

Virgil starts crying, "I told you both. Sending him was a bad idea."

I start crying, "I'm sorry! I'll bring him back!"

Roman asks, "I'm confused what is that dark blue orb your pushing aganist his chest?"

Emile gasps, "His soul!"

Roman freezes, "You killed him?!"

I flinch, "I... He wanted... Just give me a second, I'll bring him back. I need to focus."

Remy says, "Everyone shut up. Patton, focus on Logan. All of us will stay quiet."

Roman nods and sits down on the couch with the fairies as Virgil silently cries. I wipe away some tears, "I have an idea."

I hold his soul as I take a few deep breaths, "I'm a soul snatcher, it's time to act like one. This is like training when they taught you how to put them back in. Nice, gentle, and calmy. You have got this." I gave myself a pep talk.

Virgil puts a gentle hand on my shoulder, "Patton, Logan trusts you. Please get him back."

I nod. Roman speaks up, "I'm so fighting Logan for doing this. He is the smartest idiot I know."

Virgil nods, "I agree."

After a few hours everyone is getting restless and worried. I am too. Virgil and Roman are crying and keeping to themselves.

Remy was trying to comfort Roman and Emile was trying to cheer me on while he comforted Virgil. I use all my power and keep trying.

About an hour later, Logan finally wakes up. He was surprised to find out that he was out for four hours. He told us about everything and we all agreed to only do this if it was absolutely necessary.

Virgil carries me to the couch and lays me down on it so I can sleep.

I say weakly, "I'm sorry for making you worry about Logan."

He talks in a low tone, "Its okay."

"No it's not. I know how you feel about him."

Virgil blushes deeply and look away, "We can talk more later. You need to sleep."

I nod and close my eyes, soon falling asleep.
