"Hey, Aka-chan!" You startled Akaashi as he was walking to school.
"Hello, y/n-kun," He nodded. You tried to keep up at his pass but he was too fast.
"Why're you going so fast!" you stretched the 'fast' part as you pouted.
"I'm only walking, should I slow down for you?" You shook your head and sighed. You started to jog and you finally became side by side with Akaashi, he chuckled a bit at your determination.
It's been at least a week ever since you guys met. You two became best friends—and Bokuto too, but you also made more friends along the way.
"Have you seen Koto anywhere? We were supposed to meet up at the intersection." Just after you said that, you heard a familiar voice calling you and Akaashi's names.
"AKAASHI-CHAN, N/N-CHAN!" Bokuto yelled as he ran up at you guys, breathless.
Akaashi turned around and instantly formed a 90 degree bow, apologizing to Bokuto.
"Sorry, Bokuto-sama, I shouldn't have caused you all that trouble and I should have just waited for the both of you-" Bokuto slapped Akaashi's back and started laughing.
"NO NEED! I KNOW I'M SUPER AWESOME BUT YOU DONT NEED TO ACT SO FORMAL WITH ME, AKAASHI-CHAN!" Bokuto yelled and smiled widely.
"Quit the yelling, Koto." Bokuto stuck his tongue out at you and the two of you laughed as all of you continued to head to school.
"What middle school did you go to, Aka-chan? Koto and I went to Ushimi." You asked Akaashi as you tilted your head. Akaashi made eye contact with you.
"I went to Mori, I was the setter on their volleyball team. Everyone was talented but no one really had a, let's say, passion for volleyball." Bokuto sighed as he opened his phone only to see seven miss calls.
"What's wrong?" Akaashi asked Bokuto. Bokuto showed his phone.
"My mom keeps calling me, I'll be back in a second." He rushed off which left you and Akaashi alone.
"So.." You mumbled.
"So..?" Akaashi said. You shrugged. You didn't know what to talk about, to be honest, and you didn't want to seem boring. But then you grabbed his hand which caused him to stop and turn beet red.
"Teach me how to play Volleyball, please!" You smiled. Akaashi looked at your hands—which you noticed so you quickly let go, because it may have seemed awkward to him—and then he looked back up at you. He patted your head and nodded.
You giggled a bit and the two of you waited for Bokuto until he came.
"It's been fourteen minutes, Koto, where were you?" He sighed once more.
"I left my cafeteria money at home, so I went back." You bursted our laughing, Akaashi and Bokuto were pretty confused.
"Y-YOU DON'T HAVE," you stopped to catch your breathe. ""YOU DON'T HAVE YOUR OWN WALLET? YOU'RE SUCH A BABY KOTO-CHAN!" You teased. Bokuto poured and crossed his arms.
"You're one to talk!" He stuck his tongue out. "But my mom doesn't trust me with a wallet—SO IT'S NOT MY FAULT," You and Bokuto started laughing. Akaashi didn't know what to do so he slowly, quiet and nervously, started to laugh along too.

Akaashi waited outside of your classroom once the last bell rung. You and Akaashi had a couple of classes together but not all of them so Akaashi packed up early just to walk you home,.
As you were picking up your stuff, one of your new friends, Ami, called for you.
"y/n, There's a cute guy waiting for you at the door~" You sighed.
"Koto isn't cute, Ami-chan, I think you need to get-" You opened the door only to see Akaashi.
"-glasses"(I DONT MEAN THAT LMFAO BOKUTO IS LITERALLY MY WORLD)
"Aka-chan?" You grinned as you saw the volleyball in his hands.
"We can go to a nearby park and play some volleyball, I'll walk you home after that." Akaashi said but quickly panicked. "I-If you're okay w-with that," You nodded and quickly made your way to your locker.

Where's Bokuto-Sama?" Akaashi said as you guys finally reached the park.
"Doing volleyball stuff, I don't know," Akaashi furrowed his eyebrows as he walked deeper into the park, you walking just behind him.
First, he was teaching you how to set.
"Setting is a really important part of the game, so it's crucial that you know how to, setter or not." Akaashi tossed a ball to you lightly and once it touched your hand and you pushed it away, it cam right at his face.
"A-Aka-chan, sorry! Do you need some ice or-"
"I'm fine," He smiled. You exhaled in relief. "But we need to work on your aim, here, make a little diamond with your hands as you push the ball." Akaashi demonstrated and when you tried it still looked a bit slumpy so he held your hands and put them into the right position. Your eyes met and you guys fell into a trance, still "holding" hands.
"Am i interrupting something?" You both flinched as you turned around. Thankfully it was only Bokuto. "Were you guys doing so-"
"VOLLEYBALL!" You blurted out. Bokuto's eyes lit up.
"Can I call Kuroo? He can totally help you." You nodded enthusiastically as Akaashi just stood there.
'Who's Kuroo?' He thought. Not long after 20 minutes, you saw an out of breath Kuroo running towards you guys.
"Hey, looks like we've got everyone; Owl Man, Midget-"
"I am not" you interrupted.
"sure, sure—who's pretty boy?" Kuroo raised an eyebrow at Akaashi. Akaashi looked behind him, only if he was talking about someone else, then turned back around and pointed to himself.
"Me?" He asked. Kuroo parred Akaashi's back just like how Bokuto would always do.
"Hey, pretty boy—that's your new name—do you play volleyball?" Akaashi slowly nodded. He found Kuroo very intimidating.
"You guys are both so annoying, Aka-chan told me he played setter in middle school, so he's teaching me how to set right now." You stuck your tongue out at them. Kuroo and Bokuto pouted and crossed their arms in sync but eventually, actually a couple seconds later, they were perfecting their setting skills because their main position wasn't setter but it would come in handy.
hey i just rewrote this chapter and although it's still cringe, it isn't as cringe as how it used to be so yay :D
