Chapter 18.

Madison POV
The days, the weeks,had gone strangely faster than what i had expected, Draco kept me company all the time. It was rather soothing to have him by my side. Most of our time consisted of laying in bed talking or sitting outside of the balcony pointing at stars. Lucious would often pretend to like me, but deep in his eyes you could still see the disgust. Narcissa however was absolutely lovely, when Draco wouldn't be around we would often sit drinking tea and talked about anything. How Draco was growing up, to how my life was, it felt nice to finally be able to speak to someone that radiated mother love. Something i sadly didn't get to experience.
"We leave to Hogwarts in 10 minutes, are you looking forward to it?" Draco asked.
I removed the cup from my lips as my eyebrows furrrowed upwards with a smile plastered in my face. I nodded vigorously and licked the remaining liquid off my lips, I excused myself to get my suitcase ready and check that I didn't forget anything.

Narcissa waved goodbye to Draco and i while Lucious just gave us a slight nod. We hopped on the train and started heading towards the Slytherin compartments following Draco's steps, i was amazed at how privileged they were. Their compartment was way nicer than any other ones, they also had tables and a food station to get anything they pleased. Draco took his seat across from Pansy and Blaise, my eyebrows lifted upwards, he said he wasn't interested in even socializing with Pansy yet here we are.
"Aren't you going to sit?" Draco said flatly.
I looked at him confusingly by the tone of his voice.
"What are you doing here? This is for Slytherins and last time i checked you weren't one." Pansy remarked.
Draco rolled his eyes at her and looked her way in annoyance.
"Yeah, you're right. I don't think i could ever fake being a low life." I shrugged with no expression in my face as i headed the opposite direction to where i knew i could find my friends. Draco didn't follow, he just stayed in place and went on with his conversation. I kept looking into every single compartment trying to find my friends, towards the end of the hall i spotted Harry walking. He turned around as he heard footsteps behind him and i ran into his arms taking him in a tight embrace. He ran his fingers through my hair as i cried in his neck, i wanted to tell him everything i just couldn't find my words.
"Mady, I've been so worried. I got your letter, are you crazy? Are you trying to get yourself killed?" I lifted my head slightly turning to him.
"I did it Harry, Cedric is okay. He's at Hogwarts i-"
"What do you mean he's at Hogwarts?" Harry cut me off.
I shrug my shoulders and looked around us as i pulled him into the restroom.
"Okay you need to not interrupt me as i tell you and not freak out." I explained.
"Madison what are you talking about?" He looks at me with a puzzled look in his face. I ran my fingers through my hair and sigh, i end up explaining everything to Harry as in to what happened from going home. To ending up in azkaban from leaving with death eaters, to who I really was and to what purpose i was supposed to follow. I also mentioned how my life was after with the Malfoys, Harry's face was just in utterly shock.
"So Cedric is back?" Harry asked.
I nodded my head and smiled widely.
"He's at Hogwarts, I can't wait to see him!"
Harry smiled at me but he still wasn't too convinced with the fate i was given. We stayed talking in the restroom floor the whole ride until we had to get out and change into our robes. The train came to a stop as we finally reached Hogwarts, I couldn't help but feel anxious i was a few minutes away from seeing Ced. I followed Harry, Hermonie, Luna,and Ron into the carriage, my eyes wandered around looking for Draco but soon enough I spotted him sitting next to Pansy and across from Blaise. They were in their own conversation and he didn't seem to notice me. Harry took my hand helping me out of the carriage and we made our way to the entrance of Hogwarts. When we finally arrived we stopped in front of the double doors that kept me from seeing Cedric, my veins were rushing with adrenaline and anxiousness took over my body. I bit my lip and messed with my finger nails, the doors finally swang open and we made our way in. I stood there scanning the room until i spotted him, he was there. Someone tapped his shoulder pointing my direction, he turned around and his eyes widened at my presence. He stood up extending his arms as i ran towards him and jumped into him. He lifted me off the floor taking in my scent, i closed my eyes tightly i was scared that when I opened them he would be gone.
"Oh Mady i missed you." He whispered in my ear.
I finally open my eyes as I realized he was actually here and he wasn't going anywhere. I felt a pair of eyes on me, I followed the gaze and Draco was sitting there looking directly at us his jaw clenched. I furrowed my brows in confusion, finally Cedric put me down releasing the embrace. His hands rested on my hips and mine layed on his arms, he smiled down at me.
"I'm so happy you're here, you're okay." I release a sigh I didn't know i was holding in.
"I am yes,and it's all thanks to you." He moved my hair behind my ear and caressed my cheek.
"I'm going back to my table but I'll see you after okay?" I explained.
He nodded his head, i turned on my heels and walked towards the Ravenclaw table to sit in my usual spot next to Luna. She smiled at me and turned towards where Dumbledore was standing he started explaining to us how we would be having a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. He introduced her as Dolores Umbridge, he was going to finish speaking but the lady in pink interrupted him expressing her feelings and thoughts. I looked around to see George and Fred whispering to each other and then we made eye contact, i stuck my tongue out placing a finger towards the entrance of my mouth, making it seem like i was going to throw up. They laughed and rolled their eyes in amusement. We were finally able to feast i spoke to Luna on how i was able to regain Cedric, that seemed to be the topic. Even now more than before people didn't believe Harry about Voldemort being back as they saw Cedric was there good as new. The feast was over and we were released to go to our dorms, I spotted Cedric still sitting talking to one of his friends. I creeped behind him wrapping my arms around his neck turning slightly to kiss his cheek, he smiled at me.
"I'll see you guys in a minute." He told his friends, he grasped my hand making us walk out of the hall. I looked towards the Slytherin table and saw Draco still sitting there, i smiled his direction. His eyes still remained on Cedric and i but there was still no expression. We stepped out of the hall into the side to not get crashed into by all the students heading towards their dorm. I looked up to him and smile taking him in, he still sported that smile I missed and his eyes had life in them unlike the last time i saw them.
"I really am greatful for you Mady."
"I know, who wouldn't." I playfully smirked.
"Was it difficult going home after, you know?" He asked.
I shook my head and grabbed his hand "That's a conversation for tomorrow I'm exhausted i just wanted to tell you goodnight."
He smiled down at me once again and hugged hard almost suffocating me. I pushed him away slightly laughing a bit before nudging his arm.
"You're so cheesy." I remarked.
There was a cough making us turn our direction to the sound, Draco stood there taking in the scene. Cedric looked at me once more before tilting his head and place a kiss in my cheek whispering goodnight. He walked towards Draco's direction and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Thank you for watching after her." Draco stood there emotionless, still looking at me. I couldn't meet his eyes so i had my gaze wondering around the wall in front of me. Cedric disappeared leaving Draco and i alone, he took a few steps getting a little closer but still keeping a distance.
"You seem to be happy that Cedric's back."
I nodded my head to his response still not saying anything.
"Yeah i can tell, you seem to of forgotten about me." He remarked sourly.
My eyes looked his direction my head followed after looking at him in confusion.
"Excuse me? I didn't forget you." I answered.
"Well seeing as you didn't come sit with me in the train, the fact that you didn't hug me-"
"What?" I chuckled sarcastically. "Forgive me but you didn't stand up for me when Pansy was insulting me, besides i know when I'm not wanted. I can take a hint."
I crossed my arms and turned his direction walking towards him.
"What's that suppose to mean?" He raised a brow anger clearly seen in his face. I glared at him, i was about to open my mouth when Pansy showed up intertwining her fingers with his. I looked down at their hands and then at him. I scoffed and walked closer to him.
"Why don't you figure it out?" I shook my head rolling me eyes and walked out of there.
